miclight
I was wondering if there was a way to use a macro to turn on a channel for a specified time and then turn it off. I wan to be able to press one button and have my hazer run for 20 min. and then shut off. Is there a way I can do this?
Kirkup_xp
Hi miclight The way I would do this is: Program 2 cues in your cue stack - one as the "Hazer On" cue and one as the "Hazer off" cue. Set the trigger of the Hazer off cue to "Auto, time 20 minutes" Then Using SHIFT+COPY, transfer those 2 cues as a range onto a submaster. This converts the submaster to a mini cue stack (referencing the big cue stack under Memories) and the flash button acts as a GO button. Now record a MACRO which presses the (submaster flash) GO button - you might like to include a press of the Sub Page Up/Dn buttons together at the start of the macro, as this will automatically snap the submaster page to Page 1 - if you don't do this and your submasters are on a different page, triggering the macro will make nothing happen. Because you've transferred the second cue (with the Auto trigger) as well as the first one, the act of pressing the go button will automatically (after 20 minutes) trigger the 'off' cue. You can then link that macro into any cue you like, to trigger a 20 minute burst of haze as required, or trigger it manually using the Macro MFKs. It's not the prettiest method in the world but it's really powerful - using the transferred cue ranges, you can have upto 30 cues simultaneously active on your cue stack with things like this. Hope this helps - if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to let me know. Peter Quote Peter Kirkup
