FatFrog Problem with CP MiniScan (Urgent)

Bilderbuch

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i´ve got some Clay Paky Mini Scan.

They have the Dimmer ( no real Brightness Channel) on the Gobo Channel with the Levels from 0 to 69.

The Problem is that i want to make a Memory or Submaster on which I could Fade the Dimmer (Brightness).

The Conxole ist in Partial Mode. So i tried to make a memory with Gobo Level 69 (which is Full Brightness) and untagged everything else. Copied this one to a Submaster and expected that i can Fade the Brightness.

But that didn´t work. I set up the Submaster to fade the Beamshape. But everytime I rise the Fader the values snaps to 69. And the bigger Problem is that the value doesn´t lower when i fade down the Submaster Fader.

Is there a posibillity to solve the Problem?

Hi Bilderbuch

The easiest thing to do is to modify the fixture profile so that it has the gobo channel as the brightness parameter. Bear in mind that by doing this you will not be able to use palettes for gobos. You should then be able to record your submasters as normal.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, that helped a bit.

But why is it not possible to use the Gobo Channel as Virtual Brightness Channel. That would be great because then i just have to keep attention that i dont rise the Brightness Level over 27 %.

I tried this but the Frog doesn´t see the Brightness Channel?

At the moment (V10.9) the original Frog series desks do not use the Virtual Intensity information in the fixture library. However (particularly because of the recent trend towards RGB LED fixtures) this is something which we are now considering providing a software update for.

Frog Reference 5593 - Virtual Intensity support for fixtures.

The Leapfrog48/96 and Frog2 desks already use the Virtual Intensity information from the fixture library.
