Hi,

I am making a fixture file for a set of 8 LED birdies which I have made ( RGBRGB.... 24 channels worth).

The way I have it, i need to put 2 or more of the birdies per fixture. I have a 2 birdie / fixture personality currently, but if i wanted to turn all the birdies on, I have the problem that I have to select the 4 fixtures, click on 'colour', set the value, then click the colour button again, and set the same colour again.

Does anyone have any suggestions of the easiest way to control these overall. I haven't managed to get my hands on an actual desk yet, so am just using the offline editor, and its hard to see whats actually happening on the output, especially with any of the FROG patterns, as there is no support for a visualiser.

If I wanted to make basic patterns easily and quickly, whats the best way to have the 8 birdies laid out in the desk. one fixture of 8 birdies each, or the current 4 fixtures of 2 birdies?

Or, is there a way so that when you scroll a wheel, it changes more than one attribute at once?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Wol

I'd use 8 fixtures, 1 for each cell of RGB, and patch a standard RGB Dimmer (found in Conventionals) for each fixture. Of course, this limits you if you have more than 4 'other' fixtures, but it really is the best and most efficient way of controlling them.

Yea, I have 8 macs running from the desk also, so only have 4 "fixtures" available.I feel I'm trying to ask a bit too much from the desk here!Yea, I have 8 macs running from the desk also, so only have 4 "fixtures" available.I feel I'm trying to ask a bit too much from the desk here!
