hi i run a fat frog desk at school and me and my mate have just bought a smoke machine and we have found a fixture patch on the zero 88 website but we want to know how to put that on to the desk?

if any knows how please tell.

Take the file containing the fixture profile data and copy onto a floppy disk.

 

Then in Desk Setup - Assign Fixtures use the Assign Fixture from Floppy Disk option and select the fixture type required from the disk ... see Operating Manual Page 6-3 to 6-5 for full details.

An other method of controlling Foggers:

Most fog machines operate with only one DMX channel. If you have some generic preset fader left, then you could patch this channel on one of those alternatively, saving you a fixture button. With that fader, you now can control the output of the Fog machine easily.
