John J. Posted December 6, 2007 Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 There are 2 dmx universes on the back of the console; I have 6 I-lights up in the ceiling and have just purchased 4 more. At the moment I dont have a lift high enough to get me to the ceiling to hang the new lights. Will the 2nd dmx universe output work for the new I-lights with the new dmx addresses up on our balcony. Kirkup_xp Posted December 6, 2007 Report Share Posted December 6, 2007 Hi John The second DMX Universe on a Fat Frog outputs the same data as the first universe, so you can safely run two streams of DMX data from the desk to two areas (your existing rig and your new fixtures, for example) The DMX addresses are still limited to 1-512, and will be the same on both lines. For example, if your fixtures start at 49 on the first line, a fixture addressed to 49 on the second line will respond to the same commands.
