lxkev Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 Would it be pos to create a chase directly into a submaster, with out creating a memory 1st? i.e. could work like this Selected submaster> chase>(set levels) program>next step I use the desk in 2 modes, Theatrical stack + the use the subs for rocknroll it would be nice to keep it separate It would also be nice if when you transferred a memory to a sub, that a dialogue box appears confirming that its has been transferred.. K-Nine Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 At the moment it is only possible to program channel data (generic/dimmer channels and fixture parameters) directly onto a submaster. The only way to have a chase running from a submaster is to create a chase memory and then transfer it onto the submaster. If you want to keep the submaster and playback x (memory stack) separate, you could try programming the memories you wish to use on the submasters at higher memory numbers (eg start at 900). If you put a jump at the end of the normal memory stack back to the beginning then these additional memories won't affect the memory stack. GLX Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 WOW! Only for I can run the desk that last explanation was a real head wrecker Quote
lxkev Posted October 21, 2003 Author Report Posted October 21, 2003 Thanks for the tip! jump works fine! Quote I need a new job
protec Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 I agree with lxkev, it would save time and it kind of makes sence to allow you to program a chase directly to a submaster. Quote
K-Nine Posted October 24, 2003 Report Posted October 24, 2003 Compared to the time required to program the actual chase, the additional time and key presses required to transfer the chase memory onto a submaster is probably quite minimal. In the current software submasters can only contain a single set of channel/fixture data or a reference to a transferred memory. To enable the user to program a chase directly onto a submaster would require a significant change to the internal data structures and user interfaces.
