Haytech Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Good Morning last time using a LeapFrog I have problems with external keyboard by typing letters into a Memory - after about one hour the keyboard letters and num doesn´t work any more but cursors are still working fine. I use a normal PS2 G83 Cherry keyboard. If you need some more details please PM Greets Sebastian Hayduk Quote Sebastian H. K-Nine Posted October 21, 2003 Report Posted October 21, 2003 We are investigating this problem. We have not seen this particular 'bug' ourselves, nor have we had any other reports of this particular problem. Have you tried using a different external keyboard ? Haytech Posted October 22, 2003 Author Report Posted October 22, 2003 Hello K-Nine yesterday I took another one and it worked fine, then I tried to press any key on this keyboard and voila I´ve found the problem. If I press the Strg/Ctrl Key the Keyboard seemed to be off press the button once again Keybord is on like before. Same happens with other keyboards Cherry/Keytronic It seem to be a feature like keylock, but I didn´t found on manual. If I know how to switch on again keyboard I have no problem running a show. Thanks Sebastian Quote Sebastian H. Pro - Sound Showtechnik The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources. Ian_p Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 All, I have plugged in a new keyboard to my new fat frog, but I get no response from it, pressing F2 to name an item brings up the small display on the board itself, and I can name from the cursor keys on the frog, but not the keyboard. Any ideas? Ian Quote
Paul Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 Does anything else apart from the qwerty keys work on the keyboard - cursor keys, numeric entry etc.? Do the Num Lock, Caps Lock & Scroll Lock LEDs toggle on and off in response to the appropriate keys? Have you got a different keyboard you can try? Quote
Ian_p Posted March 21, 2004 Report Posted March 21, 2004 No the keyboard leds do not toggle on or off, I wasn't sure that they should, so I'll have to try another keyboard to prove the problem. Cheers Quote
Laubfrosch Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Hi Ian, did you restart the desk after you had plugged the keyboard? The PS2 Keyboards have to be plugged before powering the system Cheers Sven Quote Sven Paulsen Klangfarbe Vienna
Ian_p Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 All, Even though it was a brand new keyboard, it was faulty. When I tried another keyboard, it was fine. Thanks for your help. Cheers Quote
larsinge Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 I have problems using a keyboard on my fatfrog ( versj 8.? ) After a while in use, the keyboard does not work, and I have to reboot the desk  . Is it a problem that is known, and is it maybe fixed in software updates ? Can I update directly from my v8 and up to 9.6 :?: Quote
sam.henderson Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Yes you can go straight from your current version to the new one. There are instructions in how to do this here Sam Quote Sam for a interactive training suport program on how to use your fat frog effectivly why not look at my frog training program-

Tony Berry Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 Having just upgraded my Bullfrog desk to version 10.4 I find that after a while the keyboard cant be used until I re-boot the desk. I never had this problem before . Is it a bug in version 10.4. What is the solution please Tony Berry Quote
Morn Posted March 14, 2006 Report Posted March 14, 2006 Try pluging in and out the keyboard...this avoids powering down the console. Had this problem for a few times, too, but i thought it came from the very old keyboard I use... Quote So, if you don't start drinking...I'm gonna leave!!!
nosin Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Hi, Currently having a problem whereby occasionally the numeric keys on the keyboard will not respond, however the enter and cursor keys will. When running a performance you are then left with using the cursor on the desk to skip/select memories. A complete shut down and restart seems to solve the problem. I am guessing this is probably something really simple that we are overlooking. It has been since upgrade to 10.8 Any ideas? Quote
nosin Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 I am assuming that no one else has come across this then. Have downgraded to 10.4 as had other problems with tracking. Don't seem to be getting any more issues. Quote
kgallen Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 For the record, I have also had the external keypad numerics stop responding during a show, using 10.8.1 on a FatFrog. As above, normal behavior returns after a reboot. I don't recall this ever happening using 10.4. Quote
