NickTaylor Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I have had a look at the fixture tool and not having used it before am uncertain if I am approaching things correctly. The unit has four control channels 1. Red 0-100% 2. Green 0-100% 3. Blue 0-100% 4. Colour Macro, whatever that is! Does anyone know the best way to control these units. My main problem is setting a fixture so that I can use wheel controls, rather than fader channels Quote
Kirkup_xp Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 I've created a fixture profile for you. Please note that the control of the Red, Green and Blue channels is via LTP, so these are not inhibited by the Grand Master (except on the Frog2, where the fixture gains a 'Virtual Brightness' channel). NickTaylor Posted March 21, 2006 Author Report Posted March 21, 2006 Thanks for that Peter, I saved the file to a floppy then tried to load onto the desk. The desk says it cannot find a fixture. I have not had problems loading fixtures before. Any ideas anybody? Cheers Nick Quote
Kirkup_xp Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Hi Nick The fixture file works fine in Phantom Frog - I don't have a FatFrog to try it on a real desk. Check that you're running the latest software on the desk. Peter Quote Peter Kirkup
NickTaylor Posted March 22, 2006 Author Report Posted March 22, 2006 I thought I had installed the up to date OS on the Leapfrog. Better check I guess. Basically it is not finding any fixture on the floppy disk. Quote
NickTaylor Posted March 22, 2006 Author Report Posted March 22, 2006 It turns out it was the old formatting problem. Once I formatted the disk on the desk, then copied Peters file. it worked. The desk really couldn't find the file! All singing now! Cheers Peter Nick Quote
WiLL Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 slightly off-topic, but how are those showtec led pars working out? I've been tempted by the price but i figure with the average throw of 40-50 feet in my venue I'd need about a dozen to make any impression. Quote
