now is that brightness you are referring to using the brightness button or the parameter of the light itself by using the shutter wheel?

right now as far as i can tell you cant use the brightness button to make individual lights have different brightnesses using the brightness button on the frog board..

The only way to control the brightness of fixtures assigned to the buttons is:

- Select the fixtures you wish to adjust

- Press the Brightness button to select that attribute

- Move the middle wheel

Note that adjusting the brightness wheel like this controls the 'Virtual Presets' in the desk. The contribution from these is mixed HTP (Highest Takes Precedence) with other sources on the desk e.g. Memories and Submasters.

Remember after programming to set these virtual presets to zero, or you won't be able to dim out your fixtures from the memories or submasters.

If you really really really want to control the brightness of your fixtures using the channel preset faders (which are intended for generic dimmer channels), then depending on the DMX channel allocation of the fixture, you might be able to write a special fixture personality using the Fixture Type Editor and do some clever stuff with the patching on the desk. But that's a whole different level of complexity...
