Last weekend a customer would like to use 12 VL3000 and 4 robe zoom 250 on a Bullfrog.

After doing the setup on a phantom frog he transferd the fixtuers to the bullfrog. He was complaining that it was not running :-(

As he is owning a fat frog he transferd the 12 VL3000 to his desk.

Wondering that he could only configer 10 Fixtuers. Fat Frog wasn`t allowing to conf the last two fixtures.

Question:

VL3000 is using 28 Channels. Is this the problem ?

By the way he was doing the show then with the Fat Frog (12 VL3000 2 addressed to the same range) and running the 4 robe on the Bull Frog.

Hi pollywog,

The Fat Frog has a limit of 288 LTP Channels. That equates to 24 per fixture if you use all 12 fixtures.

If you try and load a show which has more than 288 LTP Channels on to a Fat Frog, it should simply disregard any fixtures which it does not have room for.

If you are getting a blue screen crash when loading the show from Phantom onto a Bullfrog, then can you check that both are running the latest software (CLICK HERE). If the problem persists, then email us the showfile (techsupp@zero88.com) and we'll look into it.

Thanks,

Paul.

Hello Paul,

ok thinking the problem is due to different versions.

On the Bull Frog I am running version 9.8.

Question:

As the Bull Frog is used frequently used by a band which spent about 20 hours in programming are all things running in the same way after an update to Version 10 ?

A show programmed on 9.8 should run fine on version 10. Not sure about the other way round though, you might get some funny stuff happening with the partial programming.

Would be wise to keep a copy of your 9.8 show somewhere as a backup, until you are completely happy that it runs properly on version 10.

Let us know if updating the desk to 10.0 solves the problem.
