sp Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 As I've said before an enhanced lock function would be great. Well if you're just using the playback X and Go button you could go to a blank page of subs, turn the flash buttons off, and put the preset masters to zero. Oh, and ask your operators to be a bit more careful  sp Quote
cherowbrier Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Operators being careful, I wish they'd at least concentrate on the stage for a start. Quote
cherowbrier Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 As was said in the previous thread pointed out above. A selectable lock function would be great, user defined in the super user or something like that. Quote

Halo_djk Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 If worst gets to worst, buy a $10 keyswitch and install it inline with the power socket. Mount the keyswitch on the front panel somewhere Quote
Frog Genius Posted November 24, 2005 Report Posted November 24, 2005 I have this problem too. I think all your ideas when put together represent a do-able and practical solution. [OFF TOPIC] Also - is there a way to set the desk up so when the"pubescent grown ups" (as Haytech calls them) touch any button it would sent the lights all on at full or all completely out - not an answer to any of our problems -but a good embarrasing way to teach them not to fiddle with it during assembley. And we might get an insight as to who pulled the fader knob (the rubber bit) of submaster 11 - well i think its number 11. (BUSTED) lol Thanks Quote
Benandez Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Hi, I will be using a Fat Frog for a Show next week I haven't had chance to get to use the desk yet. I have been flicking through the manual, saw how to lock the setup screens but on previous desks I have used there was a combination of buttons you pressed to lock the board, i.e: All Buttons Inoperative unless a combination was pressed. I was wondering if the Lock Screens in shown in the manual is the same as this or not, and if not is there a way of doing this? Cheers, Martin Quote
K-Nine Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 You can lock the desk which disables all the editing facilities on the desk, ie you cannnot change any of the setup, memory, submaster, palette data etc. For information on locking / unlocking the desk see page 7-3 of the operating manual. Benandez Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Yes I read that part, but is there anyway to lock the faders ? Quote
K-Nine Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 There is no way to lock the front panel controls at the moment, but different locking functions have been discussed above (topics merged). Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
dwh Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Just wondering if there's been any progress on the uber-lock feature (I've just gotten a new Bullfrog running at a school and one of the first things I noted was how handy it would be). Cheers! Quote
gress Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Any update on this? We continue to have problems with people (kids) messing with the desk. I keep getting phone calls at all hours with people asking me "are the lights supposed to be on and spinning around" ... "are the Martins supposed to be..." Quote
Halo_djk Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I must admit the news on this I do have is all bad. We have a Mambo frog in a nightclub, with set timers on strobe usage, and fog machine time, and output controls, problem is the DJ's "Mates" who help themselves to the desk, also have worked out how to over-ride my programming by using the channel outputs controls. Worse still they leave the outputs up, and the DJ's don't know how to fix it because I don't want them to know how to play with outputs! A little more security would be a great help! Quote
gress Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 this is an attempt for my continuous effort to get a lock code for the desk so no one can operate it. on a side note: what I do now is clear DMX patch. Works but a lock code would be easier. Quote
