Trinity Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Hi there, in a few weeks we are getting 4 new Robe ColorSpot 575 AT and 4 new Robe ColorWash 575 AT. As I browsed through the current fixture library I noticed that there are 4 different versions of these fixtures, e.g. M1 through M4. Are these different versions for this fixture? Where is the difference?? Any help would be appreciated! tia! Greetz, Ruben Quote
K-Nine Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 The different fixture profiles represent the different modes that the fixture can operate in. Many moving head fixtures have different modes which require different numbers of DMX channels. Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
Trinity Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 Thanx for the quick reply. I tried to find out, where the differences between these 4 modes are. But I only found out that M3 and M4 require two more DMX channels than M1 and M2. I also found a difference in the display of the different modes. Is there an overview of the different modes somewhere? Quote
K-Nine Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 The best place for a description of the different operating modes will be the operating manual for the fixture itself Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
Trinity Posted September 20, 2005 Author Report Posted September 20, 2005 Thats the one I checked first, but maybe not thourough enough. Will do that again ;-) Quote
Kirkup_xp Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 See here Mode 1 and 3 enable 16-bit control of most attributes. Modes 3 and 4 enable Pan and Tilt macros. Therefore if you don't want Pan and Tilt Macros, but do want 16-bit control, you want Mode 1. Quote Peter Kirkup
