GazBar Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Hi, We have had a sirius 24 running analoge dimmers for years. I Have just tried to use the dmx output to run our rig and nothing. I dont know whether the dmx board was fitted when purchased or if it was a retro but its dead at the moment. Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks Gaz Quote
KWR88 Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 First can you give me the desk serial number as this should let me knowif it's a retro fit or standard. Second if you go into super user do you see the patch option? If not then the card is not communicating with the main PCB. This may be a simple loose cable to the DMX card. Please call me for more information as it is easier to talk you through the obvious things to look for. Quote Regards, Keith Rogers Zero 88 Support: support@zero88.com
GazBar Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 Well i had a chance to look inside the board today only to find that the dmx out socket is not actually wired to anything so not actually a board fitted. Can you tell me if they are any available anywere. Thanks Gaz Quote
KWR88 Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Sorry to say that these cards are no longer manufactured. I don't think it is something that a dealer would have on the shelf as they tended to be made to order. Quote Regards, Keith Rogers Zero 88 Support: support@zero88.com
GazBar Posted September 20, 2005 Author Report Posted September 20, 2005 Thanks, Looks like i get to buy a new desk. I wonder if they will let me have another frog. Gaz Quote
wimbrug Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 In Germany, someone is selling such a card. look at http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A%3AIT&rd=1 you can try it Quote
Mars Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Buy a > 48 ch. muxer (analog to dmx). It's available everywhere, about the same price, internal or external casing, and above all: more reliable! The original kit works proper with a dmx-buffer on long distances. The disadvantage of a muxer is the fixed soft patch. Quote
