Make a remote switch box?

I have an Illusion 120 desk and I am trying to make a remote switch box. I have made up a cable to link to the box following the instructions in the manual, but it seems that whatever I do with the switches, it does not trigger anything on the desk. I have checked the settings of the remote switches in desk setup and they are all set such that I would see an effect if the switch was working.

 

The desk is running version 5 software, as we had a problem with the version 7 software that meant our desk would reset itself occasionally.

 

Any ideas?

There is another setting you need to check, this time in 'Desk Defaults'.

 

Make sure the 'Remote Switches' setting is set to 'Enabled'.
