NPhillips Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Working internationally, I am not bothered by it so much, but the electricians get rather confused by the date/time formats. US users are looking for: Month/day/year - - and - - 12 hour time formats Quote
K-Nine Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 Are you referring to the time and date in the Information Bar (bottom right hand corner of monitor screen), or are there other areas this applies to :?: The manual does state that the clock is in 24 hour format and the date is dd/mm/yyyy  Do you think that it would it be a good idea to have a user selectable option in Desk Setup to display the clock in 12 or 24 hour formats, and the date in day/month/year or month/day/year. PS I have always found the US date convention confusing ... 5/6/2003 will always be 5th June to me, not the 6th May Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
NPhillips Posted June 5, 2003 Author Report Posted June 5, 2003 I agree with you completely (except for the date format -- just depends on what you grew up with!). Primarily I noticed it in the disking functions where a write to disk has a time/date stamp. When it comes to disks and files, it is best not to confuse the operator! We all know what happens in that case! Quote
