nighteyes Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 using software 9.8 on a fatfrog with fixtures 1/4 a futurelight genesis scan. i tried making a circle effect movement and then spreading the 4 scans across the movement by selecting fan-first and then adjusting the offset percentage. While i can see it is working by looking at the scans, the percentage on the display stays at 0%. I then tried exactly the same thing using the fan-last option, and strangely enough, this works just fine, with the display showing the percentage change correctly. Paul Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Not a bug. The value you see on the LCD is that for the primary fixture. The primary fixture is the one with the red LED flashing. 'Fan first' locks the first fixture and then fans the rest. So if your first fixture is also the primary fixture, you won't see any change on the LCD, since it is locked. Quote
nighteyes Posted April 13, 2005 Author Report Posted April 13, 2005 off course, youre right silly me. Quote if one million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing.
Paul Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I think this is another opportunity to plug the little known about Fixture Outputs Screen. Hold down F1 and press a fixture selection button. Very useful, particularly when using the fan editing functions. Quote
K-Nine Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 NOTE: When you are adjusting fixture parameters and the wheel editing mode is one of the fan functions, you also have to bear in mind which of the selected fixtures is the 'primary' fixture (indicated by flashing red LED). For example in Fan First mode - if the first fixture in the selection is also the 'Primary' fixture, then it's value will be displayed on the wheel LCD. As the first fixture's values are fixed, the value displayed in the wheel LCD will NOT change, but moving the wheel should change the values of all the other selected fixtures accordingly Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
