strange problem!

HI

I've posted a few messages on here regarding a system crash I encountered last weekend on our fat frog: http://support.zero88.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1341

Thing is I have now installed the updated firmware (we were previously operating on version 9.6). This has now cured the problem with the strange text on the screens. HOWEVER, I now have a new problem.

Basically the system was set up by a fairly well known UK installer. Here's the list of fixtures we had assigned to the intelligent section of the desk:

Fixture 1: Martin Mac250 Krypton

Fixture 2: Martin Mac250 Krypton

Fixture 3: Martin Mac250 Krypton

Fixture 4: Martin Mac250 Krypton

Fixture 5: Martin MiniMac Wash

Fixture 6: Martin MiniMac Wash

Fixture 7: Martin MiniMac Wash

Fixture 8: Martin MiniMac Wash

Since installing the firmware I've had to reassign the fixtures as usual. But here's the problem. All the Mac250's operate properly. However, the minimacs assigned to fixtures 4 & 5 work via the selection buttons for fixtures for fixtures 7 & 8. And the fixtures intended for buttons 7 & 8 don't work at all.

I've auto repatched the system and reset DMX outputs as well as power cycling the desk several time. None of these efforts have cured the problem...... any ideas???

Ok I've kept working on the desk, and finally figured it out. For some reason the auto patching wasn't working properly.

But now I've managed to get it to work - basically I took the plunge and manually patched it. It's all working fine now.

Thanks for lookin anyway!

Kind Regards

Pete Fernando
