Kresten Bager Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Hey Zero88, Just an idea for the Frog2. Several consoles on the market today support a remote. One system I've seen is a pocket PC able to interface with the console via WiFi ethernet. Quite smart as you are not always next to the console during focusing etc. Since the Frog2 will support ethernet is it possible to program an application that will run off a pocket PC or laptop and serve as a remote for the console? Kresten Bager Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 Hi all, What are the system requirements for a PDA to use the remote software? E.g. Windows Mobile 5/6, standard/professional, ram, cpu? Or are there any units you have tested that you can recommend? I guess having a big screen is an advantage? Kirkup_xp Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Hi Kresten Windows Pocket PC 2003, Mobile 5 or Mobile 6 should all be fine. The PDA needs to have Wifi but other than that, anything reasonably modern will be fine. The bigger the screen, the better, but again, nothing excessively large is necessary - we've tested the software across a variety of PDAs and it seems to behave itself on all the systems we've tried it on. CLICK HERE for the remote software. Hope this helps, Peter Quote Peter Kirkup
