Hi, has anyone else noticed that if you hold down the blackout button rather than tapping it once to blackout, all the channels strobe, or flash very quickly, it also happens on the phantom frog,

is this normal, and if so what use is it for?

I guess that is very normal, if you hold down a key on your computer keyboard then it will also keep writing that letter...

Move while dark! -> GOGOGO! :D

Thank you Zero for the FR 5402 :)

Hi,

if it is as Gabz described it is a painful strobing - as it ends up killing some lightbulbs and fuses *g*

I won´t try it while our dimmers connected...

Well there isn't any real need to hold blackout is there?

If you want to be able to hold down a button to produce a blackout, u could program a sub with a blackout then solo it when needed. :)

It sounds like the Blackout button is auto-repeating when held down, something that most of the front panel buttons do and in some cases is desirable.

However, I suspect it is not desirable in the case of the Blackout button ... maybe the auto-repeat should be disabled ?

Hi,

Vote me in for deactivating autorepeat

I don´t like strobing anyway :-)

Just press it once then, why would you want to wreck your gear?

Good point ... it's designed as a press once for blackout, press again to remove blackout :)
