kevlawrence Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 I've a come across an automated light which has inversed brightness. i.e. DMX 0 is full on, and 255 is off. Weird I know. The question is: Is it possible to invert this on the desk (I have a leapfrog desk), or is there a good way of controlling such a fixture with this desk? I bit confused! Kevin Quote
NZ Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Hi There isn't a way to change it on the desk. You can usually change the setting on the light however. Check it's manual. Quote Graham
Laubfrosch Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Hi Kevin, if there is no way inverting the brightness at the fixture, you have to edit the lib defaults via the Fixture Type Editor with a standard pc. Another way is to send me the DMX chart and I can do this for you. Cheers Sven Quote Sven Paulsen Klangfarbe Vienna
ice Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 The only thing you change by doing that is the home value... I think the problem is all fixtures go on when you slide the wheel upwards, except this kind of fixture, and I can sure imagine that's annoying. Nothing you can do about that though... to bad; time to buy/rent newer fixtures Quote > 500 posts, time for a new T-shirt?
Pipo Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 what kind of fixture is it? Brand, model? Quote Den Pipo Pro Light Design
RealGrooveTom Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Hello, Im Using the Fat Frog ith the latest Softwareupdate and have 7 New Showtec Clubspot MK2 The Link to the Datasheed of the Spots http://www.showfotos.nl/manuals/SHOWTEC%20...75%20MKII-E.pdf My Problem is, I created a Fixture for the Clubspot, everything is working but not the Dimmer. As you can see in the Manual, the dimmer is on Chanel 7. In the fixture, I set the Dimmer to "Brightness", but nothing happend. The Dimmer is open everytime. DMX Vlue 0 = open Dimmer; DMX value 255 is closed dimmer. I also tried to invert the Channel, but also nothing happend. Maybe its the software update? Is it possible to downgrad to an earlier Softare? Please Help me and excuse my bad English :-( Best regards, Tom Quote
RealGrooveTom Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Hello, I use the Fat Frog with the OS 10_12. I have a fixture where the brightness Channel is full on dmx 0 and closed dmx 255. In the fixture editor is the option to invert the channel, but the fat frog don't invert anything. Do I make a mistake or is the frog not able to invert the chanel? Thank alot for you help, Tom Quote
Paul Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 The 'Invert Output' option in the Fixture Type Editor is used by the newer ZerOS desks (Leap Frog 48, Leap Frog 96, Frog2, ORB) only. This feature is not supported on the original Frog series desks. Quote
Lightson Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I have the same problem with some Studio Due Shark 150s. The brightness channel at 0% is open and 100% the shutter is closed. Also in the middle is strobing. Has anyone got a workaround for this when programming with Technobeams? Thanks, Bob H Quote
