AlexP Posted Friday at 04:56 PM Report Posted Friday at 04:56 PM Bonjour Je possède une FLX S48 zéro88 (softwares version : 7.9.4.3) depuis l’année 2019. I own a FLX S48 zéro88 (software version: 7.9.4.3) since 2019. It works very well and I never needed to update. My hardware hasn’t changed since. Due to aging lights projectors, I bought light projectors (Mac-Man - “Flat Par 18x12w 6in1), I decided to update the software and library of my console in the hope that the projector would be easy to install. (software 7.14) Mistake on my part, I am unable to install the 3/4 of my light and I can not install my Mac-Man. Nothing is in the library anymore. I tried to create them myself by referring to the manuals of the projectors and console. But I don’t understand the terms, or the abbreviations. The terms in the channel creation do not match what is written in the manuals. In short, nothing works. I want to make it clear that I do not have a PC and I cannot use fixture tool.exe. I juste have a Macbook I have AFX light 1820R in 12 channels ADJ - ikon profile and today I have Mac-Man - «Flat By 18x12w 6in1" Can you help me Can you explain why the materials in my old library no longer exist in the new library. There is a link to fixture creations made by users of the console and that are downloadable Thank you in advance Quote
kgallen Posted Friday at 05:06 PM Report Posted Friday at 05:06 PM The library is cumulative. If it was there before it should be there now. In the new software in fixture patching I would try searching in the middle field as some brands come under a different manufacturer. Quote
AlexP Posted Saturday at 05:36 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 05:36 PM Thank you for your reply I looked a little more and I used the filters option. I did the research for my AFX light 1820IR and I tested some projectors that was offered to me. But nothing works For the cumulative library, this is probably not the case for me. Unless I have to perform a previous step to the update. But the AFX or ADJ brand no longer exists in the new version of the library. Once I have downloaded the new version (either 7.11 or 7.13 or 7.14) I download a show that I already had with version 7.9 In the library my spotlights are red, but nothing works Thank you for your feedback Quote
kgallen Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:13 PM I’ll search in the library for you later to look for your fixtures. If you loaded a 7.9 showfile it will bring the fixture information with it. So it shouldn’t matter if they are in the library or not. When you say the spotlights are red do you mean they light up red or the text in the Fixture Patch is red? If the text is red this means ‘non library fixture’ and I would expect that if the definition came in from a showfile. That’s fine and I would expect the showfile to just work. It would be worth checking the DMX addresses for your lights and those used in the desk patch. Quote

The ADJ must be a match but the others might not be. You can search what is in the library from the list here: https://vari-lite.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/software-firmware/ZerOS-Library-4.5-List-of-Fixtures.csv , which is on this page: https://www.vari-lite.com/global/products/zeros-software For AFX 1820: AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Arc 1 AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Arc 1 d AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Arc 2 AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Arc 2 d AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Arc 2 S AFX Light ParLED 1820Z HSV AFX Light ParLED 1820Z Stag I think this is your ADJ light under "American DJ": American DJ Ikon Profile For your Mac Mah, do you mean this one? https://www.sonovente.com/mac-mah-flat-par-18x12w-6in1-p93418.html Looking on page 11 of the manual, you could quickly use the 8 channel mode with this fixture although the Amber and White would be the wrong way round: Generic LED - ISRGBAWUv If you load 7.14 onto your desk, then there is now a on-desk fixture designer. You could easily put together the 8-channel fixture for the Man Mah using that and the information on page 11. See here: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures/fixture-creator Quote
kgallen Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:56 PM I made a Mac Mah 18X12W 8ch for you, attached. Put on a USB stick and just use Load. Then it will be in the list of available fixtures. If you load a new ZerOS it will go but you can load it again. If you use it, it will save in your showfile. It will show in red text as a "non library fixture". I put this together quickly so let me know any errors with it. I would follow the process on the following page and ask Zero88 folk to build a fixture for the next library release: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures/missing-fixtures EDIT: See later post for all modes fixture profile. Once the 7.14 software is downloaded and my show file too, the text in the Fixture Patch is red and nothing works. DMX addresses are good. After removing some devices from my list, I reinstall them using the library data (red text). It doesn’t change anything For information, the technical team of Zero 88 answered me this. Maybe that explains my problem The software installation process completely removes all data on the console, including any current show files. With showfiles saved in ZerOS 7.13.2 or earlier, some Colour Effects on RGB fixtures will need reviewing due to ZOS-4780: • If using a colour effect on both RGB AND CMY fixtures together that was manually created using "waveforms" (FLX) or was created by modifying an Auto Palette (FLX S & FLX), the RGB effect may be out-of-sync from the CMY effect. • If using a colour effect on RGB fixtures that was manually created using "waveforms" (FLX) or was created by modifying an Auto Palette (FLX S & FLX), the effect may look different than previously. Accessing Fixture Macros has changed (see ZOS-9605). Therefore, Fixture Macros within showfiles saved in ZerOS 7.13.2 or earlier will not be loaded. This should only affect users who have stored a Fixture Macro onto a UDK (User Definable Key). This does not affect User Macros. MIDI Show Control (MSC) can now trigger any Playback (see ZOS-1216). Showfiles using MSC should be tested in advance. If the received MSC message has a blank Q_List ID, ZerOS will trigger the currently viewed Playback and no longer always Playback 0. No other compatibility issues known from 7.13.2 Quote
AlexP Posted Tuesday at 05:52 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 05:52 PM Otherwise I have installed the latest version of the software and thanks to you and your fixtures profiles that you provided me. Everything works. Thank you very much Quote
