gress
I have the Bullfrog board and just started to get it all set up. So I am sure I will be posting more questions here. I have a few scrollers on some par cans. Can I program these as a fixture so I can control the color with one wheel and the light/dimmer with another wheel? As an example, my dimmer is on A030 and the scroller is on B100. Can these be the same fixture? I would also like to do this with my mirrors. I made a patch for them to adjust position but would like to add in the dimmer to a wheel so I can control the light output of the par can they are on. Thanks
K-Nine
If the scroller is a single channel scroller then use the fixture called <SCROLLERS> Lamp+ 1 ch scroller. This is one of the common fixture types on the desk and is also in the Zero 88 fixture library. You will need to patch both the dimmer and scroller parts of the fixture to the relevant DMX addresses. The fixture will then be acessible via the corresponding fixture selection button; press BRIGHTNESS to access the dimmer part of the fixture; press COLOUR to access the scroller channel. gress
So how do you patch that in if the dimmer is not consective of the scroller? The dimmer is on say channel A010 and the scroller is on channel B0111. I am not in front of the board right now so maybe its obvious. I was trying to look at this using the offline editor but cant figure out how to get into superuser mode + - ENTER with the offline editor. K-Nine
The two parts of the fixture (the dimmer and the scroller) are patched separately and do not have to be consecutive DMX addresses. It is probably easier to do a manual patch of the fixture ... you will see two lines on the LCD, for example ... Fix 11 Lamp < > Fix 11 Scroll < > Move the cursor to the DMX address field and enter the required address (easier if you have an external keyboard attached). On the Bull Frog - use the EDIT button to switch between universes A and B. K-Nine
To get into Super User on the phantom frog you need to simulate holding down the + and - buttons on the front panel. You do this as follows: RIGHT click on the + button on the front panel (red dot appears) RIGHT click on the - button on the front panel (red dot appears) LEFT click on the ENTER button (white button) on the front panel RIGHT click on the + button on the front panel (red dot disappears) RIGHT click on the - button on the front panel (red dot disappears) Once in Super User - navigate through the functions in the same way as you would on the real desk Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace

K-Nine
If you are practising by using the phantom frog ... If there is a situation where you need to simulate 'holding down a button' you RIGHT CLICK on it with the mouse and a red dot will will displayed in the button to indicate it is being held down. Don't forget to RIGHT CLICK on it again to release it Quote K-Nine : Technically Advanced Roving Dog In Space Bran Media | Myspace
