Mr Ed Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 Hi there, I'm trying to connect a Lumenradio Aurora to our FLX, but I can't suceed. Does anybody has a solution for me? Best Tim Quote
kgallen Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 Via DMX? Via Art-Net? What issues are you having? If you want some timely and useful support, you need to provide a lot more information, no-one on here is a mind reader. Quote
Mr Ed Posted January 23 Author Report Posted January 23 True! Sorry. We connected the Aurora with the FLX via DMX. The Aurora is receiving the DMX signal but I cannot find the Aurora in the settings in the FLX. Do I have to add it as a new fixture or do something else? We have some Apurture Mc pro running. They are connected to the Aurora but how can I patch them in the FLX? Quote
kgallen Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 If it's plugged into DMX then it's effectively just a radio-based wire substitute isn't it? It's not an "end fixture" just a means of getting the DMX signal from the console to wherever the actual DMX cabling starts (at the Lumenradio receiver). viz there is nothing to set on the console and the console won't know (or care) that it's connected to the Lumenradio. If your connection was with ArtNet or sACN then there are a whole load of things that can go wrong with IP addresses, universe mappings, protocol. But DMX should be plug-and-play providing you've set up the radio properly on the Lumenradio kit. 1 Quote
Mr Ed Posted January 23 Author Report Posted January 23 Okay, this becomes clear for me. Thanks. But how can I patch the fixtures which are connected to the radio? Quote
Davidmk Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 You patch them on the desk in the same way you would if it was a wired connection although you won't be able to use RDM unless the lumenradio handles it. See the manual here for details on patching. 2 Quote
