Davidmk Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 I was putting my desk away this evening when I noticed a rattle inside. Took the cover off (very careful about the cables between the halves) and discovered a screw had come out. Retrieved the screw, found where it should have been (on the back of the screen assembly) and replaced it. Put the covers back on. Ran the self test (all good on faders and buttons). Noticed the Other Test tab, thought I'd take a look and spotted the Do NVR Test. Tried that and got Load Pattern Buffer failed. Restarted the desk normally. On version 7.14 Start up text included... Preparing NVR Shadow Buffer ... Initialising data NVR retention check Ok Desk seems to be working OK and I get sensible looking DMX output without framing errors or flicker. Should I be worried about the NVR thing? 1 Quote
iank99 Posted January 13 Report Posted January 13 @Davidmk just replied to your eMail. In summary - I don't believe the "Load pattern buffer" fail message is anything to worry about - the NVR ram test seems to have worked OK (and the test never seems to work on Solutions I test so it might belong to another 'level' of FP test like the LCD Calibration routine on Solutions. 1 Quote Ian Knight aka The Service Guy - www.serviceguy.co.uk

FLX uses FeRAM technology, as opposed to the more traditional RAM in the x86-based consoles (Solutions & Orbs). You may therefore get different test results depending on the hardware you're using. Ultimately, this test is designed for internal use, and only during very niche troubleshooting. 1 1 Quote Edward Smith Product Specialist Email Support
