Banged up faders?

Recommended Posts

Okay I encoutered a weird problem during show today...

When I put up channel fader 25 the value changes to FF as expected; but... the value of channel 26 goes up to 18% as well :S At first I thougt it was a problem with our dimmers, but the desk output screen tells me the desk is sending out wrong information. I've tried rebooting etc, that won't help... I guess something is broken, and this isn't really a bug; but what could it be that causes this problem?

I've also solved it; by raising fader 26 just a little bit the value of that one stays at -- while raising 25. But still the faders aren't working the way they're supposed to be. Should I check the desk in for a maintanance session? :(

It sounds like fader 26 may have a fault or be "dirty".

It would be worth giving a small drop of switch cleaner to see if this cures the problem.

I have the same problem with subfaders...

If i move them slow the current channels flash.

Sometimes other channels flash to... f.eks channels on the neares subfader ...

I'll clean it when I've got the time, sure hope that solves the problem.
