    Fat frog PCB swap

Hi, I am pretty familiar with Fat Frogs but I seem to have a power issue that I cant trace down. I recently acquired another Frog for parts only to find the main PCB (motherboard) are different. The old one has the old Varta 3.6v solder mount battery and the newer one has the CR2032 3v battery. Are the different versions (old/newer) PCB's able to be swapped? I am almost certain that the issue is within this board. Please help as I have an install that this console is going to be used in. Thanks, Jesse

    Frog 2 and Qlab (MIDI)

Hey, I'm trying to do a small light show and we've a frog 2 and a mac running qlab. In qlab the software does not detect an output patch: [1 - No Output Device]. Is software for the Frog required to be installed on the computer to be able to use the midi feature? This website would seem to suggest so for the 'miniStageConsole': http://www.chromakinetics.com/DMX/QLab_miniStageConsole.html If not, does the Frog need to be set up in a certain way? Thanks!
  5. Hi All, I have a stack of NJD Datamoons that whilst being great fixtures, suffer from not having a dish rotate speed channel - instead you have to set the position of the dish as an absolute value (0-255). I'm trying to create a slow continuous rotation with a chase. I've set a chase with four steps - 0 degrees of rotation, 90, 180 and 270, and technically since the fixture takes the quickest route with the mirror dish it should carry on back to the start at the end of the chase. The problem arises because I've set a fade time so that we can have a slow rotate; at the end of the chase the DMX for the dish fades back from 255-0, meaning that we rotate quickly backwards to 0 degrees again rather than carrying on. Being able to set a fade time per-step would be handy, but I don't think that feature exists, an ability to set a chase to repeat but snap at the end would also do the trick, but does anybody else have any ideas or workarounds on this one? Cheers, Jay
