Hello all. I'm relatively new to a Jester 24/48, using it for a small amdram group to control up to 18 channels of conventional lamps through 3 betapak 3 dmx controlled dimmer packs (no problems) and many LED lamps. 14 of the LEDs use 6 dmx channels each and we have 3 chauvet battens which can use up to 17 dmx channels each. For some shows, I've managed to group the lamps and patch the dmx addresses so that one fader operates several dmx addresses and therefore lamps, but I'm struggling to get anything more complicated than that. The Jester Manual tells me that "The DMX patch may be changed at any time without affecting the memory data stored in the desk." So, when programming a show, I have tried re-patching the dmx addresses part way through a programme so that the faders control different aspects of different lamps at different times in the programme / show. But it doesn't work / remember the various states, so I wonder what I'm doing wrong. If I record Scenes 1 to 10 with one set of dmx patching, then change it all for scenes 11 to 20, then go back to scene 1 the new dmx addresses are there, not the ones I set for scene 1. I must admit I've only tried it on Phantom Jester so far to test it out and start a new show at home, but should this work? Many thanks in advance. jimbo

Hello everybody I have a dmx strobolight (2000W). i patched the dmx adress 1 at presetfader 1 and dmx adress 2 at preset 2. On my strobe is 1 for speed and 2 for brightness. And here is the problem: When i set preset 1 on 100%, nothing runs. When i set preset 1 and 2 on 100% it runs still. And when i set preset 2 on 100% it runs still again. So i controling the strobe only with one fader for speed and brightness together. But i want to do it with one fader for speed and one for brightness. Where's the problem ? And sorry for my bad english

Hey kind people at Cooper Controls, I have a Bullfrog and am unable to get any output from Universe B. The patching is all fine, ie some on A and some on B, and the desk (output monitor) indicates that signal is being sent to both Universes, however there is no actual output from the B universe. I tested the generics on B by just swapping the dmx cables around A>B, B>A and when patched to A they work fine so it's not a lamp issue. Is there a way do activate/deactivate universe B, or am i just having a blonde moment and missing something.....? many thanks in advance

Hi, We currently have a leap frog 48 with eight Betapack 3 dimmers connected. While rigging/patching today, something went wrong... we think a DMX spike and 3 of the eight dimmers will not to anything, the screen is completely blank and so is the 'DMX OK' light even though DMX is connected. But when fixtures are connected to the dimmer they will come on at full intensity but there is no control via the controller or the dimmer... Any ideas what to do? Thanks
