  1. Hi, is it possible to use the jester to send out midi data in to a laptop and then from the laptop to control DMX lighting software? The reason I ask is that I am wanting to program virtual faders for my LED lights and this isn't possible on the Jester. Basically, I would like to have a fader for each fixture and then I can switch to different colour palettes for different songs. Currently I use the submasters, swapping to a different group of 6 for different songs, but I have run out of banks. thankyou

    USB light

Hi, Is it possible to plug in a USB light into the Jester, such as this http://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_usb_led_minischwanenhalslampe.htm I don't want to burn out the USB socket by drawing too much current.

The reason I ask is that as part of the recent lighting upgrades to our club we bought a load of LED pars which although much brighter than our old super-cheap LEDs have no separate DMX channel for dimmer and strobe. I thought maybe by setting up a simple on off chase, I could get the new ones to strobe, but the best I can manage at maximum speed is far too slow. Might there be a way to make so that a new 'layer' of faster speeds can be accessed by holding down a modifier key when adjusting the speed control?
  4. Hi, I use the Jester 24/48 in a music venue and regularly use the chases on scene memories and sub masters using the beat function that I set to the tempo of the song as the song is being played. The problems occur when I want to stop all the chases when there is a pause in the song or at the end of each song. As far as I'm aware the only way to do this is to 'grab' the speed of the chase with the speed pot and then return the speed to zero. I find this method a bit of a problem because if you overshoot, the chase will speed up and it just kinds of looks messy. Is there any way to use one of
