Hi Ray, we've also bought the FLX and i can understand your point of view. The software delivered with the FLX is a early build i think. But please give Jon a try to update your desk. The latest software (not released yet) is much better in my opinion although it's a beta. We've compared several desks of other manufacters - we've found nothing better concerning features and quality for this price. If and only if zero88 is doing their job to improve the software, FLX is a good choice.

That's good news I'll try it again and give you feedback Do you have any plans to make this more flexible? Or, as another question: Why did you removed those features from zerOS on FLX? I remember you've written there will be an update for PhantomZerOS until end of april, which is the past. Can you tell me when there will be the next zerOS update for FLX? It's because it crashed a few times and seems to have some more bugs. Maybe it's an early version on the desks delivered now (7.8.2.7) and you're a lot ahead with development til now?

There is the output window on the external monitor i've connected, but there are no buttons for configuration or dmx output window as on the other zerOS desks. It's a step backwards that they removed all the nice windows and the desktop concept on FLX. There is even no way to get a preview of a cue/playback as far as i can see...

Do you have enabled Enttec wings in the setup menu ("Wings, ZeroWire")?

Thanks, you're right. I didn't see the changes on the outputs (i've four led stripes connected) because i have to turn the encoder multiple times to get a visible offset. As far as i know, there is no DMX Output window on FLX...

Thanks cucolino! I've got the same problem and in my case fan first is set for shifted wheel mode. But when holding shift and moving the wheel, the value doesn't change at all. Using zerOS 7.8.2.7. Is there an option to see the hints for next commands as on the other zerOS desks?

Hi Jon, i've four questions concering features: - Is there some possibility to use the buttons of the MFFs as "flash" buttons either in channel or in playback mode (or both)? - I programmed colors for some rgb lights: i selected the lights using their group, selected a color from the palettes, recorded that to a playback. I repeated these steps to create a color-chase. Intensity and other attributes were not tagged during programming. Having those lights at full (-> Group 2 @@) and than triggering the playback by raising the fader did not change the color. In another case i only programmed intensities (colors untagged) but triggering the playback also changed the color (to default). Can i programm playbacks that only affect the tagged parameters? This would be nice to combine those playbacks with only color, intensity, position or beamshape programmed when "it's time to be creative" during the show - Is there any function to the "Size", "Select" and "Close" functions (an several others...) for the UDKs? I'd like to have the output window and the playback window side by side, this makes more sense on a wide screen display than placing them on top of each other. (But it would be even better to have the full control over the windows displayed like on the orb series. Not for the touchscreen, but for the external monitor! I'm issing the preview and DMX output window... ) - Can i record macros on the UDKs? Thanks in advance

You only can have all as playbacks or all as channels. A workaround may be to programm some channels on playbacks.

I've got the same issue: closing Phantom ZerOS most times causes a crash.

I remember Jon said until end of april, which is actually in the past....

Hi Jon, is there any other way to control the intensity of white or amber leds manually? Where is the attribute located ("Beam", "Shape", ...)? In my concrete case i want to control the color rings of a Robe Robin LEDWash 300 seperatly. They also have white leds and a color temperatur control. How to control the individual rings and color temp.?

Independ chase speed on submasters by beat-mode
jw-lighting posted a topic in Solution & Solution XL
Is there any option to set the chase speed of submasters on Solution seperate for each submaster, like on Jester series or ORB by pressing the flash button? I've tried with the Phantom but didn't find any way to do it. This is the only reason i didnt buy a solution -
I've found prices here: http://www.thomann.de/gb/search_dir.html?bf=&sw=flx Is there any release date for the Art-Net DMX In? Would be a realy nice feature to control some more dimmer channels - I really like the DMX In on the other desks like Solution, ORB and even the Jester series. We've got an Jester 2448 and need to upgrade to support leds and movings. We intended to reuse the Jester as Fader-Extension or Remote. The FLX seems to have some really nice new features, i'm looking forward to take hands on at PLS next week. But the difference in price is quite small to the ORB XF (we definitly need a wing for the FLX), and the ORB XF has more features, hasn't it?

On one side, I can understand what you mean and why you talk bad about the Jesters. There are a few simple things or features they could build into the software without any changes to the hardware, but they dont. Examples may be - as you already sad - copying whole chasers or change the direction and attac for single submaster chasers. (Suggestion: Shift + Attac/Direction + press flash buttons of submasters to change) You see - its only changing the software. On the other, and bigger side, the jester actually IS a nice lighting desk. Of course its not like e.g. the leapfrog. But it is good quality, mostly easy usage and a low price, too. You sad its to expensive for that number of features. But the jester is not a grandMA and dont belongs to a grandMA. Good quality and components do have their price. Because of this, i dont think about the jester as a expensive console. I'll buy it again for myself, if there is enough money anytime in the future. EDIT: Maybe we should make a new thread and collect our wishes to the next softwareversion.

I think 500mA is what you mean. 500mW at 5V are only tiny 100mA. Furthermore, 500mA are the standart. Thank you, now I've all information to build my own lamp

Hi community, we are working with a Betapack 6 plus, Strandlighting dimmer and Jester 2448 control. It will be nice, if there is any option to implement DMX support directly into the Betapack 6. Maybe its possible to attach a 6 channel Demuxer? regards, jw-lighting

I've another question due to the usage of the USB socket for a lamp: What is the limiting current the USB socket can drive?
-
It would be very nice, if you can copy a whole chase in future software versions. Maybe you can just store the hardware memory-address of the chase to copy in the hardware memory instead of the whole chase and copy directly into the submaster/memories when the chase is pasted. just an idea. regards, jw-lighting

Did this actually mean, i can programm the time the console is waiting before going to the next step for each step seperatly? That would be really great
