  1. Hi All I have a Betapack 2 with a strange issue which seems to have confused quite a few people. Channels 1 + 2 are stuck on full. The background to the problem is the dimmer had been installed a bit too close to a DB, which was blocking the screw holes at the back (for the top cover). At some point somebody has removed the top cover (either as part of the installation or afterwards) and not put these screws back, leaving the top cover only attached at the front. Anyway about a year ago something was put ontop of the dimmer which caused the top panel to fall down at the back and the metal of the casing shorted on the live input at the top of the pack. Since then channels 1 + 2 have been stuck on! So far have tried the following: - replaced triacs and swapped the triacs with other channels. - checked preheat settings etc - swapped entire control pcb with another working betapack - replaced transformer on left side of pcb (as suggested by support) Im sure i tried some other bits but cant think of them right now. Either way, not a huge problem if it cant be fixed, but if anybody has any ideas i would love to hear them! Thanks Nick
  2. Hi All Having a bit of a problem programming a chase on the Jester 48ML which includes generics and fixtures at the same time. The problem im seeing relates to a the colour channel of the fixtures not being in sync with the generics. Assume this situation: Generic CH1: Red par64 Generic CH2: Green par64 Generic CH3: Blue par64 Fixtures 1, 2 and 3 - LED Par Can (3 LTP colour channels (Red, Green & Blue)) The chase im after is everything Red, everything Blue then everything green (3 steps). Step 1 should be generic channel 1 plus the brightness channel of the three fixtures and the red colour channel. Step 2 is generic channel 2 and the green colour channel, and step 3 is generic channel 3 and blue colour channel. Now this works fine in program mode, everything records ok and i can go back to each step and edit it, with the correct scene being replayed on the output. However - when i go into Run mode the chase runs fine, but the colour parameters are 1 step behind the generics. Eg: Step 1: Red Generics, Blue LEDs Step 2: Green Generics, Red LEDs Step 3: Blue Generics, Green LEDs All attack settings are set to snap, there is no fade time, the same happens no matter what the trigger speed, even turned down to manual and the flash button/insert used to step through the chase - its the same problem. I spoke to someone at Z88 support a week or so ago when i first discovered the problem and they suggested to upgrade to the latest software but couldn’t think of anything else at the time. I have only just been able to update the software and this has not fixed the problem (i have tried running the chases I programmed before and programming new ones since the update). Just wondered, before i waste other people’s time calling support again, if anybody here has any suggestions or ideas, or indeed has the same problem? I think i have tried most of the obvious things, maybe im just being stupid, or maybe there is actually an issue or bug. Any ideas? Ta Nick
