No, you don't have to do that - there's an easy way to copy and paste:
Select the cue (make sure the "No." column is selected, not the "step" column), and press EDIT.
Go to the blank cue where you'd like to copy the chase to, and then press PROGRAM (red glowing button).
That should copy and paste the cue where you'd like it to go.
After pressing EDIT, you can also press ENTER 150 ENTER, which will jump you to cue 150 (whether programmed or empty) so you can paste it directly there rather than having to press the up / down keys several times.
(This method works across submasters and cues too. I didn't mention it previously as I thought you wanted to add the chase on top of an already programmed static cue).

Yes they are. You'll get the lowest common denominator of features, although there's not that much difference between the two consoles. The main thing is channel numbers - if you have 200 dimmer channels on the TL Xtra, only the first 24 will get transfered onto the JesterML24 (or first 48 on the ML48).
Fixtures, palettes, memories, submasters and soft patch will all work.

You should be able to just click the "Desktop 1" button on the bottom left corner of the screen, and then choose another Desktop. The "Programming" desktop is the one you are looking for I think.

On some of our past consoles, we used to make a monitor bracket, like the image below.
These pins were to accommodate that, however the bracket for this console never came out of the prototype stages. We left the pins in, just in case we ever decided to resurrect the bracket!

On ORB Series, the default is that "Position" only stores position parameters, "Colour" only stores colour parameters and "Beamshape" only stores beamshape parameters.
However, there is a Record Window which you don't get on Solution, and within that window you can change settings to record anything anywhere. This is very useful in some situations, like including Focus into a Position Palette, or changing the colour to white in your Custom Glass Gobo palette (which already has colours in it).
In the next software update this will be "fixed" so it's back to how it was.

Hi Ziglight,
The reason for the thumb wheel working in this direction is so all your fingers and thumbs work in the "same direction" - away from your palm to increase the value, and towards your palm to decrease the value.
Well spotted about the wheels screen... that does work in the other direction and should be changed, so I've added it as issue ZOS-5982

Keredyelesob is correct - you are seeing a percentage rather than the DMX values.
If you really want to change it, you can do, but it will change all the percentages to DMX values instead (including intensity).
In the Output Window, click "Window Setup". In this window, click the first button along, and you should get the below four options:
Percent - Shows all values as a percentage between 0% and 100%
DMX - Shows all values as a DMX value between 0 and 255
Details (%) - Shows channel details if available, and a percentage if not
Details (DMX) - Shows channel details if available, and a DMX value if not
"Channel Details" are things like colour / gobo wheels, shutter settings etc, where we should you names values rather than just a number.
Choose which one you would like, and then click OK. This will change everything in the Output Window, but also on the LCDs above the wheels.

Hi Ben,
New windows always open on Desktop 1.
When you select or open a new window, you can then press "VIEW" on the front panel, and then on the 5 blank syntax keys (with the LCDs, above the numberpad) you can press "Size" which will rotate through all the possible positions and sizes. You can also choose "Select" to cycle through the open windows, "Screen" to change which screen it's displays on, and "Close" to close the selected window.

Hi Max,
Yes, the colour picker only affects RGB or CMY currently.
The reason for this is that the White and Amber channels across different fixtures can be a lot of different colour temperatures, so without calibrating every fixture, it's very hard to get the colour picker accurate (the same applies for Red, Green, Blue, but the variation isn't quite as much as it is with Amber and White).
We have got an issue to see if we could implement this somehow, and we're looking into various options.

You can set separate fade up and down times, and a "dwell" time (wait time) for auto followons, but you can't set delay time specifically for just the up or just the down time on the Jester range, no.
The console will do dipless crossfades, so if the channel is at the same intensity in two memories, it won't change during the fade. You could use "Preset" Mode which lets you manually cross fade between A preset and B preset, but you can't manually crossfade between pre-recorded memories. When in "run" mode, the Jester TL allows you to select a memory, press "edit" (which automatically takes you into "program" mode), make the change, and then press "edit" again to take you back into "run" mode. This means the artist won't see any changes apart from the ones you make. We're glad you like them - if there's anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to ask more questions! -

Hi Max,
Ziglight's reply is the nearest the Solution can do.
So, you program the Tilt at 70% onto the submaster, then go into Submaster Setup (hold SETUP and press the flash button of the submaster), choose "Submaster Controls..." and then choose "Position".
Now, that submaster will take Tilt from wherever it currently is to the Tilt you recorded (70% in the example above). If you only have the submaster at 50%, the Tilt will only half move to the end position and so on.

Here are what the colours mean:
Red - programmer values (these aren't recorded anywhere yet, and will be removed when clear is pressed twice)
Yellow - being recalled from somewhere that isn't a cue (generally submasters, UDKs (on ORB) or a default value)
Blue - value from a cue / memory which has gone up since the previous cue (up towards the blue sky)
Green - value from a cue / memory which has gone down since the previous cue (down towards the green grass)
White - a "blocked" value where the channel's programmed at a value it's already at (shown as RED in fixture levels)
Purple - a tracked value from a previous cue

Hi Ziglight,
The colours are automatically added if you're using RGB or CMY fixtures, or if there is colour information within the fixture profile you are using (so the manufacture of the light has to tell us the colours they are using).
