  1. Hi Johnny, When enabled, the first note relates to memory one, second to memory two etc etc. With 'Octave' enabled, each octave will do the same thing, meaning you can only access Memories 0 - 11. With 'Octave' disabled, the second octave will start from memory 12 onwards. Hope this helps,
  2. Hi Charles, When the console has these problems, please save a copy of the show, and email it to me. Please also include the Serial Number of the console in the email. Many Thanks,
  3. What version of 'Co Processor 1' are you running? This should get updated with the software update, but it's possible it was skipped. SETUP > Files > Desk Information
  4. Try going into SETUP > Desk Setup > Event Monitor Now, push one of the problem faders right to the top of the travel, and you should see a load of text appear on screen at looks like this (with the blanks filled in). Fader 0x____ (_________________), New Level 0xFF, Old Level 0x__ Check that the last (bottom) line of text has 'New Level' as '0xFF' Now pull the fader to the bottom, and check that 'New Level' is at '0x00' on the last line of text. Repeat this for all the faders that are causing problems, and let us know the result. (to exit this window, you need a mouse or touchscreen to click the cross in the top right corner of the screen. If you don't have either of these, turn off the desk and turn it back on).
  5. Hi Johnny, Yes - go to SETUP > Desk Setup and change 'MIDI Notes' from 'Disabled' to 'Channels', 'Submasters' or 'Memories'. Hope this helps,
  6. The showfile will be absolutely compatible unless you are updating from a VERY old version of software, which it doesn't sound like you are (so long as your software is 7.x.x you'll be fine). Remember that updating the software wipes your showfile, so take a backup of the showfile onto a separate USB memory stick first, so you can load it back onto the desk
  7. Hi Charles, Which version of software are you using? Please ensure you have the latest version of ZerOS installed, which can be downloaded here: http://zero88.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/366/172/
  8. The same file will work across all our consoles

    USB

Hi Webbo, Several of our customers have had success using USB emulators (I can't confirm where these units came from) but this isn't something that we can directly support or be responsible for.
  11. Zero 88 Fixture Library Release 25 For full information, please visit: http://zero88.com/software/library This release contains 3220 fixtures from 199 different manufacturers. For a list of fixtures in the library please click here. The library is released in 2 formats: a full unfiltered version for desks running ZerOS software (ORB Series, Solution series, Frog 2 and Leap Frog 48 & 96). a smaller filtered version for other Zero 88 desks. This removes data that is not used by these other desks, so that the file is smaller. When using a floppy disk (original Frog series, Illusion500) it is recommended that the floppy disk be freshly formatted before copying the library onto it. Download & Installation The correct format of the library for your desk can be downloaded by clicking the product name below. The files are zipped, and must be unzipped before they can be used. If you experience problems using the built-in zip file functions of Windows XP, then try Winzip. The library (.ift file) should be placed in the root directory of the floppy disk or USB stick. ZerOS desks (ORB Series, Solution series, Frog 2 and Leap Frog 48 & 96) The latest fixture library is automatically installed on the desk as part of each operating software update, however this can be updated from USB if required in Setup -> Files -> Update Fixture File. JesterML & JesterTL The fixture library is installed on the desk at manufacture, however this can be updated from USB if required in Setup -> Update Fixture Lib -> Update Library. Frog Series and Illusion 500 The fixture library should be copied to a floppy disk. Diablo The fixture library is used with the Diablo Fixture Manager PC software. Sirius 250/500 Use the Fixture Type Editor to import fixture types from the fixture library, and then use the ‘Export Sirius UFT’ function (under the ‘File’ menu) to generate data in the correct format for the Sirius 250/500. Further details of assigning fixtures on the desk to fixture types in the fixture library can be found in each desk’s operating manual. Additional Fixtures If you need a fixture type which is not in the library, then you can create this yourself using the Fixture Type Editor. If you post a link to the manufacturers datasheet on the forum, we will endeavour to add the fixture in the next library release.
  12. Hi Christian, We will have a software release out early in Q1 2013 - however it's slightly different to the release you saw at Frankfurt. Which features are you specifically looking for? Best Regards,
  13. Dear Mathieu, Thank you for your suggestion. We've recorded it and will discuss the ideas. However, this won't be done in time for your live show in two weeks. ZerOS (the operating system on the console) supports up to 30 Submasters on the Leap Frog 48. You can access these from an external DMX lighting controller (using the DMX In), or, if you aren't using all the channels on the console, by repatching the spare channels to an unused universe and using a small patch cable to connect that universe to the DMX in. These spare channels can then be used as submasters (just don't press clear). Hopefully that will help, and increase the number of submasters you have available. Best Regards,
  14. Hi Sandy, I've seen this when there are two identical IP addresses set on the desk / iPad (and router). Have you made sure each of the IP addresses are unique? Using DHCP removes this problem
  15. Hi Andy, The 12/24 really isn't suitable for moving lights - that's why we have the moving light version of the console (the Jester ML 24). The Jester 12/24 only allows you to have 24 different values at one time (24 'channels'), but you can have more than one DMX address associated to each of those 24 channels. It does also offer 'auxiliaries' which are simple on/off switches for an additional 24 DMX channels - these are useful for triggering smoke machines / strobes etc. If you wanted to control a 16 channel fixture, that would take up 16 of your 24 channels
  16. This isn't something we can help with unfortunately, as I have never tried it myself, but hopefully one of our customers can help!
  17. Hi Andy, When programming memories and submasters, it's the level of the CHANNELS you are recording, not the DMX addresses. So by changing the softpatch, the submasters / memories will playback the new addresses. The only way you could do this would be to start pairing channels - so for example, if you have two lanterns that are both doing the same job, and you never have one on without the other, you can put both of them onto one channel, giving you a spare channel. If you can do that three times, you then have room for your LED Par Can. Hope this helps,
  18. Hi Jim, If you select the lights in a 'random' order (4 AND 8 AND 1 AND 3 AND 9 AND 2 AND 7 AND 5 AND 8 AND 6 for example), you can then apply an effect, and then, whilst holding SHIFT, change the effect 'offset' on the wheels. By holding SHIFT, you are 'fanning' the offset across the lights, in the order you select them. Of course, this isn't truly random. At the moment, the only truly random method is, like you say, to make a chase in a cue stack, and set the direct to 'random'. Regards,
  19. Hi Marc, We wil have a look into this for you. Have you ever had the wing working on your Leap Frog 48? Best Regards,
  20. Hi Piero, Dimmer curves are listed as ZOS-4946 and we are looking into this. Updating times on multiple cues is listed as ZOS-3652. I've added your request to both of these issues. Regards,
  21. In the chase settings, you can change 'drive' to 'bass' - which takes the audio input
  22. Hi Charles, Use the arrow keys to select the 'comments' column of the cue you wish to auto follow, press ENTER and then change the trigger to 'auto'. When you do that, a second textbox will appear for a 'Wait' time if you want to put a delay in this. Regards,
  23. Hi Al, Sounds like either a patching issue or a tracking issue. Could you email me your showfile please? Thank you
  24. You can load the showfile directly onto the Solution - just move it onto a USB drive and load the show on the Solution in the normal way.
  25. Hi Uli, That will absolutely work, I've used the method myself before now. The only thing to be aware of is that by lifting the 2nd Preset channels, you are putting those channels into the programmer, which can be cleared by a single press of the 'clear' button - so don't do that by accident! Regards,
