  2. Hi, Did you do the update via USB or CD? Did you download the correct version of software (there is one download for USB, and there is another download for CD). There is no reason that updating the software and then backdating the software should cause any issues, as the update process actually removes ALL the software (both operating and application) from the desk and starts afresh, so backdating the software should work exactly as it used to. Did you definitely backdate the ZerOS software AND the Co Processors? Try backdating the software again, and going through each of the options in turn on the 'Update Screen'. Best regards,
  3. Hi, The best thing to do is to look at the release notes. I've included the release notes for 7.4, 7.6 and 7.7 here for you. The release notes from 7.4 include all the release notes from previous releases. Hope this helps. ZerOS 7-7-0 Release Notes.pdf ZerOS_Release_Notes_7_6.pdf ZerOS_ReleaseNotes_7_4.pdf
  4. Hi Carwyn, The Leap Frog 48 & 96 offers a simple command line used for intensity control, but not full syntax. You'd need a true syntax console, such as the ORB Series, to do this I'm afraid. Regards,

  7. Hi fensch, and all, It appears that LG might have started using a different touch controller, which is why this isn't working. We are working on updating our Linux Kernel at the moment, which will in turn increase our support for Touch Screens. However, this isn't something that's only going to take a week or two, it's a big job that will need a lot of testing afterwards. Best regards,
  8. Hi Mike, So you would be happy if the Colour Picker controlled the whole bar, and then for individual LED components you would have to use the wheels? Regards,
  9. We've defined this for ORB Series, but we're still discussing how we can implement this on Solution. Would you be happy if the colour picker only affected the whole bar? If not, how could you select just one of the LED components to control?
  10. Thanks for the feedback sfalken. We're already looking into the first suggestion (and I strongly agree with you!) and I will add the second suggestion (about unlocking ZerOS) as a new feature request. Thanks,
  11. Hi Mike, This is something we are working on. It's a BIG change to ZerOS and a MASSIVE change to the fixture library, so it's not going to be quick I'm afraid. Is this on an ORB or on a Solution? Many Thanks,
  12. Hi Webbo, Is the desk running slowly too, or is it just when using it through the remote? Many Thanks,
  13. Hi Keith, If the fixtures are saying 'No DMX Connected' then it's not a patching issue. Even if the patch is wrong (or not patched at all) the fixture will be receiving DMX data, just the 'wrong' DMX data. Which DMX Universe is it patched into? If it's 3 or 4, you have to enable these outputs in SETUP > Desk Setup > Outputs. Otherwise, I would be checking DMX cables, splitters and anything else plugged in between the fixture and the Solution.
  14. Hi, How did you extract the .zip file? Using Windows Explorer or a 3rd party programme such as WinZip? Which version of Windows are you running? Have you definitely downloaded the USB version and not the CD version? Best regards,
  15. Hi Mike, In theory, there is no reason why this shouldn't work - the desk will just see it as a normal USB device. However, is the wireless transmitter powered separately, or from the USB? We're found some devices like this don't operate within the USB specification, and so try and pull too much power from the USB port, causing it to become unstable.
  16. It's more technical than that. When you update the software, you're actually reinstalling the whole underlying operating system. Everything on the console gets wiped and reinstalled, so during this time there is no software to 'manage' the update process. For this reason, we 'install' a kind of operating system onto the memory stick, which the console then boots from. This then manages the installation onto the console. We are looking into ways to do quicker, simpler software update with a single file dragged onto a USB stick.
  17. Thanks for the feedback bullocmg and sfalken. We'll continue testing it in various situations, and then we'll publicly release this.
  18. Thanks STLPAM - we'll look into this. Added to issue ZOS-4661
  19. Hi Guys, Thanks for pointing this out. Please could you try this version of the Remote Monitor software, and see if it works for you with a password set on the console? Many Thanks, ZerOS Remote Monitor 1.1.0.zip
  20. First, load the submaster (using the 'load' button). Secondly, hold down the clear button, and move the parameter wheels to untag those parameters. Keep clear held for a half second and then let go to ensure you don't clear everything else. Thirdly, record the submaster and choose OVERWRITE (merge or update will just update the tagged values and leave the untagged values as they were. Then choose 'Colour' in 'Submaster Controls' within the Submaster Setup window (as per my post above). Repeat these steps for each of the colour submasters C4 means 'Colour Palette 4'. This means that the data is 'referencing' - so the submaster / memory is remembering 'Colour Palette 4' instead of the actual DMX values within the palette. This means you can update the palette, and all your memories and submasters which use that palette will automatically be updated. Hope this helps?

  23. Hi Huber, We've run effects over 8 universes of RGB leds (significantly more than 1000 cells) without any problems. Are you running the latest version of ZerOS? Could you upload your showfile with all 141 fixtures patched? Many Thanks
  24. The other option is 'Highlight' which is SHIFT + HOME, using similar syntax as above - 101 (SHIFT) (HOME). This removes all colour and beamshape info, so the moving light is a white beam. You can then position the moving light where you want, and then turn off Highlight (SHIFT + HOME) again to restore the Colour + Beamshape information. If you want to do this on multiple fixtures, you can use the 'Next' and 'Previous' keys on the Syntax Keys (the 5 blank keys with the LCD above them). If you use 'Highlight' or 'Rem Dim' often, you can set the blank key to perminantly be this option, instead of having to use SHIFT and HOME / FULL. To do this, hold 'SETUP' and press the blank key, and then select 'Highlight' or 'Rem Dim' from the list.
  25. Hi Mike, I'll look into this a bit more when I'm back in the office. There was a bug back when we first released the Windows Remote Monitor where it wouldn't work if there was a password set on the console, however this was fixed.
