Hi Max, Thanks for your comment. I've added this to issue ZOS-848, which is regarding adding support in Auto Palettes and the Colour Picker for additional colours other than just RGB and CMY

Zero 88 Fixture Library Release 28 For full information, please visit: http://zero88.com/software/library This release contains 4055 fixtures from 225 different manufacturers. For a list of fixtures in the library please click here. The library is released in 2 formats: a full unfiltered version for desks running ZerOS software (ORB Series, Solution series, Frog 2 and Leap Frog 48 & 96). a smaller filtered version for other Zero 88 desks. This removes data that is not used by these other desks, so that the file is smaller. When using a floppy disk (original Frog series, Illusion500) it is recommended that the floppy disk be freshly formatted before using it. Download & Installation The correct format of the library for your desk can be downloaded by clicking the product name below. The library (.ift file) should be placed in the root directory of the floppy disk or USB stick. ZerOS desks (ORB Series, Solution series, Frog 2 and Leap Frog 48 & 96) The latest fixture library is automatically installed on the desk as part of each operating software update, however this can be updated from USB if required in Setup -> Files -> Update Fixture File. JesterML & JesterTL The fixture library is installed on the desk at manufacture, however this can be updated from USB if required in Setup -> Update Fixture Lib -> Update Library. Frog Series and Illusion 500 Use 'Common Fixture Manager' (included in the Fixture Tools download) to select the fixtures you wish to use, and save this as a file to a floppy disk. Diablo The fixture library is used with the Diablo Fixture Manager PC software. Sirius 250/500 Use the Fixture Type Editor to import fixture types from the fixture library, and then use the ‘Export Sirius UFT’ function (under the ‘File’ menu) to generate data in the correct format for the Sirius 250/500. Further details of assigning fixtures on the desk to fixture types in the fixture library can be found in each desk’s operating manual. Additional Fixtures If you need a fixture type which is not in the library, then you can create this yourself using the Fixture Type Editor. If you post a link to the manufacturers datasheet on the forum, we will endeavour to add the fixture in the next library release.

Hi JB97, I'd suggest you strongly recommend the school update their Jester console. It only takes 5 minutes, and is completely free of charge. Show files are "forward compatible", so their current show files will work fine. However, if they are unwilling to do this, drop me an email (address in signature below) and I'll dig out an old version of Phantom for you.

Hi jsrjennings, We do not discuss hidden features such as this, sorry.

Elation DW Fresnel File Pretty Please......
Jon Hole replied to kalamaku's topic in General Discussion
Hi, Glad you're getting on well with the ORB! Here's the fixture file for the Elation DW Fresnel Elation.ift If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Best regards Jon -
Hi JonB13, Here's the fixture you requested Stratos.ift Best regards Jon

On some of our past consoles, we used to make a monitor bracket, like the image below. These pins were to accommodate that, however the bracket for this console never came out of the prototype stages. We left the pins in, just in case we ever decided to resurrect the bracket!
-
Hi CBMatt, Which console do you require this for? Many Thanks Jon
-
I've emailed both of you regarding this
-
Added as ZOS-5983, with two requests, one from each of you.
-
On ORB Series, the default is that "Position" only stores position parameters, "Colour" only stores colour parameters and "Beamshape" only stores beamshape parameters. However, there is a Record Window which you don't get on Solution, and within that window you can change settings to record anything anywhere. This is very useful in some situations, like including Focus into a Position Palette, or changing the colour to white in your Custom Glass Gobo palette (which already has colours in it). In the next software update this will be "fixed" so it's back to how it was.

Hi Ziglight, I've actually just replied to a similar question in the beta test forum. As not everyone who views this will be able to view the beta forum, here's a copy of what I said. (Obviously there are three requests now, not the two I said in the post below!). Let me know your thoughts...

We're hoping, but it maybe a New Years one. The latest beta's are faster, but not as fast as we would like them, so we're still going through the code :-)

Fixture Profile required for the Chauvet 419Z LED
Jon Hole replied to michael21's topic in General Discussion
Yes, it should do. Load it onto a USB stick, and then patch the desk in the normal way, but instead of choosing "Fixture Library" on the MultiFunctional Keys, choose "USB" instead. The rest of the patch process is exactly the same. One you've done that once, we store the fixture file into the showfile, so in the future you can choose "User Fixtures" instead of always having to use the USB drive. -
Hi Ziglight, The reason for the thumb wheel working in this direction is so all your fingers and thumbs work in the "same direction" - away from your palm to increase the value, and towards your palm to decrease the value. Well spotted about the wheels screen... that does work in the other direction and should be changed, so I've added it as issue ZOS-5982

odd behaviour with channels 14,16 and 33
Jon Hole replied to keredyelesob's topic in Solution & Solution XL
Hi Keredyelesob, Sorry for the delay in replying, however please be aware that the forum is not the place to come for instant answers - you should use our support number and support email for urgent enquiries, the forum is for discussion, and where end users can help each other out. I of course try and reply to everything as quickly as possible, but sometimes I'm not always in the office (and sometimes... I'm on holiday too!). A showfile would definitely be useful to know why those channels aren't working. Best regards Jon -
Hi keredyelesob, this only happens if "Smart Tag" is enabled, so you can either turn off Smart Tag when recording your palette, or you can untag the parameters you don't want by holding down CLEAR and moving the wheel. Best regards Jon

Basic Colour RGB Values for Solution
Jon Hole replied to jonny.solution's topic in Solution & Solution XL
Keredyelesob is correct - you are seeing a percentage rather than the DMX values. If you really want to change it, you can do, but it will change all the percentages to DMX values instead (including intensity). In the Output Window, click "Window Setup". In this window, click the first button along, and you should get the below four options: Percent - Shows all values as a percentage between 0% and 100% DMX - Shows all values as a DMX value between 0 and 255 Details (%) - Shows channel details if available, and a percentage if not Details (DMX) - Shows channel details if available, and a DMX value if not "Channel Details" are things like colour / gobo wheels, shutter settings etc, where we should you names values rather than just a number. Choose which one you would like, and then click OK. This will change everything in the Output Window, but also on the LCDs above the wheels. -
If you close the small ZerOS window (with the drop down, tick boxes and "Settings" / "About" / "Go" buttons on it), the application will start shutting down, which takes around 5 - 10 seconds. If you wait that long, it should close successfully.

Hi Ziglight, We've had a request for this in the past, so I've added your request to the same issue: ZOS-1955 AZERTY keyboard support Best regards Jon

Virtual desk operating mode - beta version request :)
Jon Hole replied to JakeS's topic in General Discussion
Hi Jake, I think you're running a Solution, is that correct? I understand your idea, but I would prefer to spend our software team's time on speeding up the redrawing of the LCDs in the first place! The main processor in the Solution doesn't cause us a problem. The Co-Processor (2nd processor) is what we're working on to speed up the LCD redrawing, and it's that same processor that does everything you listed above - the Inputs / Outputs (including DMX) and everything on the front panel (buttons, faders, LCDs etc), so unfortunately your solution probably wouldn't help. We prioritise DMX and front panel input (Faders, GO button etc), which is why the buttons are instantly responsive. We made an update to the DMX output to make our consoles more compatible with a wider range of none-compliant equipment (fixtures that don't perform to the DMX specification themselves by not reading the full range of DMX speeds). By doing this, the internal LCD drawing have shown a delay in some situations - so that's what we're working on at the moment. I hope this explains things a little, Regards Jon
