Installer, Phantom and draft Release Notes have been updated to 7.8.3.3. Several new features in this release, even since Wednesday's beta, so have a look at the release notes again. Thank you to everyone providing feedback to us - we really appreciate it. (Previously 7.8.3.2)

eurolite led bar 2 rgba\rgbw 252\10 fixture help
Jon Hole replied to gmanno's topic in General Discussion
Hi gmanno, Sorry - reattached the 6ch profile to the post above. For the 19 channel mode, we suggest patching this as four separate fixtures (one for each "cell" of the bar), which will make it easier for you to program (so long as your console can support the increased number of fixtures). I've attached a personality, with the first 7 channels (mode, dimmer, strobe and the first cell of R,G,B,A). For the other three cells, use the "RGBA" profile that's within "Standard Fixtures" > "Conventionals". So, if the bar is addressed to DMX 50, you'd patch the following on the console: Cell 1 - Address 50 - RGBA Bar 2 (profile attached below - 7 channels) Cell 2 - Address 57 - RGBA (Standard Fixtures > Conventionals - 4 channels) Cell 3 - Address 61 - RGBA (Standard Fixtures > Conventionals - 4 channels) Cell 4 - Address 65 - RGBA (Standard Fixtures > Conventionals - 4 channels) Hope this makes sense? RGBA Bar 2 19ch (first 7ch only).ift -

ZerOS 7.8.4 has been released and so the Public Beta has now closed. The new software can be download from zero88.com/software/zeros Hi All, As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency during FLX software development, we're releasing an Open Beta of the next version of ZerOS. What is ZerOS? ZerOS is the software that runs on FLX. A slightly different version of ZerOS also runs on many other Zero 88 consoles, such as the ORB XF and Solution series. What is an Open Beta? The Open Beta lets you test-drive new ZerOS software and provide us with feedback before it's officially released to the public. How do I participate? Download the file attached below, and follow the instructions carefully. Remember that you run this software at your own risk. Although we always try our best to help in all situations, please be sensible when you install this software.Don't install new software on your console mid-run or when it is critical that your console is fully operational. If you are going to load a showfile onto Beta Software, please keep an original version of the showfile safe, in case the Beta Software saves data that can not be read on a previous Release Version of ZerOS. How should I report an issue? All issues should be reported directly to support@zero88.com. When reporting any errors, it's helpful to include as much information as possible, including:A copy of the showfile if available Any debug files the console has offered you Instructions on how to recreate the issue (including cue / channel numbers etc) A list of external devices plugged into the console (remote triggers? audio input? Touch Screen? Mouse? Keyboard? etc etc) How do I install the Open Beta? To install, download the file attached below, unzip it, and drag the .exe file onto a USB stick (don't put it inside any folders). Plug the USB stick into your console, and go into SETUP. Go to “Load file”, and select the file from the list displayed on screen. Follow the onscreen instructions. ***PLEASE NOTE: This version of ZerOS and Phantom ZerOS only supports FLX for now*** Thank you for testing ZerOS - if you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to contact us: Telephone: +44 (0)1633 833101 Email: support@zero88.com

Yes - inside setup (SHIFT + MODE together) there's a <Save Show> option. As long as the Sub was there when you saved the show, when you reload the show, the submaster will come back.
-
Hi Mark, Yes - when you save a show, we save the whole desk state - so that's memories, submasters, palettes, fixtures, settings etc etc Inside the setup, we have a "Clear Memories / Submasters" option. Lot's of people use this when starting a new show, as it means they can keep their DMX patch, palettes, other settings etc. You can then save this as a new show, so you still have your old one. Hope this makes sense? Jon

Yes, definitely. Unfortunately Apple won't allow us to update the App description or Screenshots until we update the App itself. However, because of how the app works, all the feature updates are done on the console, not on the app, so we haven't had a need to update it. We're working on a redesigned version, so once it's ready to be uploaded, we'll update the description and screenshots.

Hi Mathias, Fully understand why you're a little confused - it's on our radar to sort out (and has been for quite awhile!). PC: Yes, there's the "ZerOS Remote Monitor" application that works as if it was a monitor plugged into the console. iOS: Yes, it's available here - on iPhone or iPod Touch, it works as a remote. On iPad, it works as a monitor, as above. Android: The Android version is coming soon. Hope this clears things up a little. Jon

Currently, we only support MIDI over the 5pin din cable, not over USB.

Hi Chris, August is a really busy time for us with Festivals etc. Tyler is probably the best person to talk to for training during August - drop him an email on TylerHolpin@Eaton.com Hopefully he'll be able to help you further. Cheers Jon

Hi Jonny, yes - definitely. Can't remember the last count but I think we're in double figures (and obviously that's just the ones we know about). Drop me an email with the dates you're there and we'll point you in the right direction (jonhole@eaton.com)

Is the overall fade time (from the second one starting to fade up until the first one is completely off) around 3 seconds, or around 6 seconds? (try running the cue and timing it).

Thanks for sharing this Jan - topic pinned!

Hi Rob, you can just hold SHIFT and move the offset encoder to "fan" the offset across all the selected fixtures. This will "fan first" which means from the first fixture, but you can change this by pressing SETUP and EFFECT together to get various options

Hi Keith, Here's the profile for the LEDJ Q Pix Batten in 4ch, 6ch and 10ch modes. Q Pix Batten.ift The manual's not particularly clear on how the first two channels operate, so please give it a go and let me know how well it works - we can always make changes if we need to. Jon

Hi Rob, Save it onto USB and then in SETUP choose "Load File". This will load it into the main library, ready for you to patch it in the normal way.

Hi, To make a chase on ORB XF, you need to use a Cue Stack. These can be set to the bottom 20 faders using the "Fader Function" button. Record each step of the chase as a separate cue. You then choose "Stack Setup" (or hold SETUP and press the fader's flash button), choose "chase" in the window that popups, and then choose "Turn into chase".
-
Yes, there's no reason you can't do this - ZerOS will give each one a separate IP address. I'd advise not using a basic "cheap consumer wireless router" if you're going to be running something as crucial as sACN traffic through it - it's worth spending a little more and getting a decent router designed to be used within an entertainment setting. Not currently - you can create a "Speed Override" fader which can increase or decrease the speed of all the chases and effects, as a proportion of whatever they are currently at, but not an overall "beat" / "tap tempo"... yet...
-
"Move on Dark" happens automatically (unless you turn it off, which you can do per Playback). You can also set a "fade time" and "delay time" per Playback for Move in Dark - which means the console will wait x second after the fixture goes dark before it'll move ("delay time"), and it will take y seconds to do the move ("fade time"). Additionally, per cue you can specify for Move on Dark not to happen during that cue - so for example maybe it's a very quiet cue, so you don't want all your moving lights and scrollers to start doing things!

Hi Marsie, No, you can't load multiple submasters at the same time. The "Load" button takes the data stored within the submaster and loads it into the programmer, which means there would be a lot of conflicts when multiple submasters have different information for the same fixture. As you say, "Smart Tag" and / or Cue Only would be the way we'd do this. Could you use this in combination with "Selected Fixtures" within the Record Window to only record the values of the fixtures you want to record? If there's a selection of fixtures you always want to not record (Smoke Machine, House Lights etc), you could create a group of these and then use the syntax GROUP GROUP EXCEPT GROUP x RECORD which will select all the fixtures (GROUP GROUP) apart from the fixtures in "Group x".
-
You can select each "fixture type" individually, by pressing the GROUP key when viewing the Edit Fixtures window. Every time you press GROUP, you'll get the next type of fixture (the name of the fixture type will be displayed in the title bar along the top of the screen). So, when you first go into Edit Fixtures, you'll get "All Fixtures", press GROUP and you'll get "Dimmers" (for example). Press GROUP again, and you'll get "Mac 700s". Then "LED Pars". Then you'll go back to "All Fixtures" and start the cycle again. You can then use the "All" row just to alter this type of fixture.

Hi Lufferov, The problem here is that it becomes VERY easy to update a fade time when you're actually trying to select fixtures. So for example, you'd select a cell, type a fade time and press enter. Now, you want to turn some channels on, so you type 1 thru 6 @@. What would actually happen here, if we implemented the suggestion, is the cue you selected earlier would now have a fade time of 1 second (or possibly 16 seconds), and the channels you wanted to come on wouldn't have. Currently, users often use the touch screen to select their "next" cue, and you can do by touching anywhere on that cues row, without worrying which cell you've selected.
