Hi Richard, I've sent you an email. Jon

Hi Rob, I believe Stage Electrics and Viking have them in hire, I'm not sure who else. Worth contacting Stage Lighting Services in Cardiff too. All the best Jon

Thanks Kevin, It's just a draft for now, it needs to be "Eaton-ised", be given a version number and there's a few parts missing. Once that's all done, I'll assign it to a software version. However, it's been written with the new beta software in mind, so 7.8.5 even though it hasn't been released yet. All the best Jon

Hi, Looks like we're also dealing with this off-forum through our support channels, so we'll continue the conversation there. Jon

Hi marfun, Are you trying to save your show, or update the software? Have you tried using all of the USB ports on the console, or just one? If there's an LED on the USB stick, does it light up? Does the USB stick work correctly when you plug it into a computer? If so, what sort of computer are you using? (Windows, Mac etc) Thanks Jon

Hi All, FLX consoles ship with a "Quick Start Guide" - a 20 page manual that takes you through the major features of FLX. The more in depth User Manual has been one of those projects that's just attracted delay after delay in every way possible! Whilst we finish it off and proof read it, I'm posting a draft copy of the document to help those customers who have been very patiently waiting for it. FLX User Manual- 1st Draft.pdf I'll take this opportunity to again thank our very valued users who are regularly active here on the forum. Not only asking questions and giving us feedback, but also replying to questions and helping each other out. That's exactly what the Zero 88 Community Forum is for, so thank you! All the best, Jon

Hi scoloco2, Does the "Automatically create colour palettes" button exist, it just doesn't create the palettes, or is there no button at all? All the best Jon

Is it possible to have the FLX send out midi control on certain cues?
Jon Hole replied to keredyelesob's topic in FLX
scoloco2 is partly correct! The FLX does have MIDI In and MIDI Out, however currently the "Out" is set to "Thru", so whatever you pump into the "In" will automatically be sent through the "Out". This is because currently ZerOS doesn't support MIDI Out, but it's something we're looking at adding one day. -
Hi Schala, No problem - just like above, please email me your email address and I will add you. Jon

Hi Steven, Are you in Tracking or non Tracking mode? In the bottom right corner of the Memories window you should see either a Red or Purple box saying "Tracking" or "Non Tracking". Is "Smart Tag" enabled? You can see this on the Multi-Functional Keys by pressing the "Special" button. If Smart Tag is enabled, or you are in Non Tracking Mode, then the "Merge" option won't be available.

Hi rickfromnotts, Please could you send me a photo of the error, and a copy of your showfile to my email address (included in my signature below). Doesn't sound like anything to worry about - probably just a network setting enabled that doesn't need to be, and it's complaining as the console isn't connected to a network, but I'm not sure exactly what it is without seeing it for myself! Hi karleaton, Thanks for the idea. This is partly what we've tried to do with non-tracking mode. The main problem is that "everything getting recorded" creates it's own bigger problem. For example, if you have moving lights that are off, and are "home" (pointing down), or you have LEDs that are technically white but with no intensity, this gets recorded into everything. So when you have a submaster that uses your moving lights, and then push up another submaster that visually only brings on some dimmers, it will also send your moving lights back to home and your LEDs back to white (but this time with full intensity, because of your other submaster being on). Therefore, our Non Tracking mode follows a list of rules to try and avoid this (for example, only record the parameter data of fixtures if the intensity is on). In Non Tracking mode, we remove several of the options from the Record Window etc too. In FLX we've tried to simplify the way a lot of things work, especially chases and how you add those to a cue. We'll be bringing these features across to ORB XF eventually. We're getting there! All the best Jon

Hi Paul, I've replied to your email :-) Jon

Hi Phil, Please email me the email address you using for iTunes / App Store, and I'll add you :-) Jon

Hi - thanks for the feedback. Strange... this was a bug in an earlier beta which should have been fixed in this version of software. I'll check it out. Yes, that definitely makes sense. We'll be looking into this in a future version.

One potential options here is to put that channel in Beamshape instead, give it a default value of 126 and tick "Scale by Virtual Intensity". Now create a new parameter, set this as a dimmer and choose "Virtual Channel". This virtual intensity will go between 0% and 100%, and scale the other parameter between 0 and it's current value which (as long as you don't touch it) is 126.

Exactly right. When you press "Special", on the Multi Functional Keys there's an option to change how the flash buttons under the channel faders work, so they can be selection buttons by default, instead of flash buttons.

Hi Leighton, There are two possible issues here. Have you recalibrated your touchscreen? When you update the software you'll need to redo that. If you are trying that and it's still not working, over the last week or two we are hearing that Iiyama have potentially changed a component in their Txx31R range which doesn't appear to be currently supported in ZerOS (which is frustrating, as the model number of the touch screens haven't changed, so there's no way to identify which ones are which). We are in discussion with Iiyama about this problem, and we're also working on updating the touch screen drivers in ZerOS to try and solve this from our end too.

Hi Sebastian, Thanks for letting us know about this. I've added this issue with reference ZJE-6649 Is this stopping you do anything? I can't think of a situation where you'd need this syntax? All the best Jon

Hi Devices, Move on Dark is only designed to work with Memories, not Submasters. When you're creating a list of several memories, you should find Move on Dark automatically happens without having to even think about it. All the best Jon

Hi Lufferov, In previous software, this functionality only worked when there were certain windows open (or more accurately, when certain windows weren't open, such as the playback windows). In the new software that's currently being tested, we've changed this so it always works when Highlight is enabled.
