  1. Which console? New software has been released for FLX and ORB XF
  2. Hi charliez, Sorry you had this problem, and sorry for the delay in replying to you! Hopefully this is all sorted now, but if you have any future issues like this, contact Keith in the service department and we'll get it sorted :-) Jon
  3. ZerOS 8 will solve your problem, which is the multiple segments for colour mixing (or multiple intensities, or multiple pan/tilts, or multiple anythings!). However, I don't think that's the problem described above, which is about copying and pasting channel details from one channel to another in the Fixture Type Editor. Currently you need to do each channel individually. We're not changing how our Editor works currently, as we'll soon be outsourcing this to a 3rd Party company - and they'll solve all these problems for us!
  4. Yep, inhibitive playbacks solves this problem. ZerOS 7.9 has now been released, so FLX and ORB XF users can give this a go! ZerOS 7.9.1 will be available to test shortly, bringing these features to Solution and FROG2 too.
  5. The technical reason is that pressing a colour palette ends the command (signified by the comma at the end). Therefor, the copy syntax typed afterwards is invalid. There's a plan to allow you to move palettes with drag-and-drop, which will make that even easier. This is working in ZerOS 7.9

    FLX "presets"

(Side Note: We're looking at implementing "looks" soon, which will be what you described. That will probably replace the functionality Tyler's described above).
  7. Current time frame is end of the year... we've made some significant UI changes since the images above
  8. Hi Andreas, We're about to start beta testing 7.8.1, which brings the FLX software over to Solution and FROG2. I think this should solve your problem too. Would you mind giving it a go in a week or two? If so, can you email me on the address below, and when we're ready, I'll let you know. All the best, Jon
  9. Hi HugoPilot, You can use DMX to either control individual channels (generics only, not the moving lights) or to control the Submasters (allowing you to record whatever you want onto the submasters, including whole scenes of generics and moving lights / LEDs) If you go into SETUP (SHIFT+MODE), and scroll all the way down to <DMX Input Setup>, you should see it says <Snapshot> (with the triangular brackets highlighted in white). Press ENTER, which will highlight the whole word, and then use the up and down arrow keys to select either <Chans+Subs> or just <Subs only>. Press ENTER again, go down to <OK>, press ENTER, and then hold the MODE button to exit SETUP. Hope this helps, Jon
  10. Hi Matthew, Have you enabled MIDI Show Control (MSC)? You do this in SETUP > Desk Setup > Inputs > MIDI Show Control MSC works on Cue Stack 1, you can then use this Cue Stack to trigger other cue stacks. The last thing to ask is what device/cable are you using to output MIDI from the Mac? We’ve seen lots of problems with customers using cheaper cables, like these: http://www.arvydas.co.uk/2013/07/cheap-usb-midi-cable-some-self-assembly-may-be-required/
  11. Hi Hamish, Yes, it looks like Multiplay doesn't support MIDI Show Control, which is a shame as this is exactly how you should be doing what you're planning. Do you have access to a Mac? A lot of people run QLab, which works brilliantly. I'm not aware of any decent PC software that can trigger MIDI Show Control, but I'm sure there's some that exists! All the best, Jon
  12. Hi Marsie, Yes - these were launched back in January: ZerOS Monitor (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eaton.ZerOSMonitor.Rigger ZerOS Remote (Android): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eaton.ZerOSRemote.Rigger All the best, Jon

    Phantom ZerOS

On the front panel there is a "setup" button (alternatively, pressing SHIFT and F10 together will take you into setup)
  14. We've had people saying similar before, and it's been related to the "Preset Control" button (it being pressed accidently etc), and the console storing presets and then the A/B faders meaning that certain presets don't work. Have you checked this?
  15. Hi, Please try this version of the fixture. The channels need to start at "1" upwards. You then set the "DMX Start Address" on the Jester. So if you set the DMX Start Address as "201", then the channels will be associated to DMX Addresses 201 upwards. Hope this makes sense, Jon Involight LED MH 140S.ift
  16. Hi Fireball40k, What version of software are you running? Shifted mode fans whatever is on the wheel. By default, this is "fan first". You can change this by holding SETUP and pressing EFFECT together (or any of the other attribute buttons - COLOUR, BEAM and POSITION). A window will open, which allows you to change the "shifted mode". Fan First First fixture doesn't change, the last fixture changes as you'd expect, everything else fans in between Fan Last Opposite of above, first fixture moves as you'd expect, last fixture doesn't change, everything else fans in between Fan Middle Middle fixture doesn't change, first fixture moves as you'd expect, last fixture moves in the opposite direction Fan V Middle fixture doesn't move, first and last fixture moves as you'd expect, everything else fans in between So, if you have a line of moving lights on a truss, and select "vertical line", they'll all start a tilt effect, all doing the same thing at the same time. You can then "fan" the offset, so they're all at different parts of the movement. Using "fan v" would mean the middle one flies out into the audience, then the ones either side of it, then the ones either side of those, and so on and so on until the first and last fixture on the truss. Alternatively, you could use something like "blue step on" which makes all the fixtures blue, and then flashes them to white. If you use "fan first", you can offset this so the white flash flies across the line of fixtures one by one rather than all at the same time. Remember, the "first", "last", "middle" fixtures are related to the order you've selected the fixtures, not their fixture numbers. Currently, the speed, size, offset and rotation affect all the currently running effects on the selected fixtures. This means you need to create your position effect, record it as a palette, create your colour effect, record it as a palette, and then select both those palettes to run them at the same time. However, in the next release of software, you can alter the size, speed, offset and rotation of each effect individually when you have multiple running at the same time on the same fixture.
  17. Hi James, You're going to have a few issues here. 1) Phantom ZerOS is currently only designed on run on Windows. I've had varying success using WineBottler to run Phantom ZerOS on my mac, but it's 3rd party software - so you run that at your own risk. 2) Phantom ZerOS doesn't output Art-Net natively (otherwise we wouldn't sell any consoles!). You need to purchase an unlock dongle, which plugs into USB. I've never tested this with WineBottler on Mac, but I'm pretty confident that it wouldn't work. Sorry! Jon

    Roman Numerals

Maybe we need to make our April Fools more obvious in the future, this one seems to have fooled quite a few people! Anyone remember Spirit Level we released back in 2005?
  19. ZerOS 7.7 is pretty old - have you tried installing 7.8.2.36?
  20. Thanks guys, all makes sense. Added extra comments to: ZOS-6505 Lock console not locking everything ZOS-1246 Lock Functions - Lock Edit
  21. Hi Stefan, Your account appears to already be unlocked for Beta Testing - on our forum homepage you should see a "Software Testing and Beta Releases" forum.
  22. Hiya, Not a bug, but definitely something we could improve in the future! I've added this as a comment to ZOS-6105 which relates to integrating triggered Playbacks with the Playback which triggered them.
  23. Also... Which "wrong software"???
