  1. 100% agree it's past the point of needing it now, and I'll get you an updated one tomorrow. Then we'll wait a week or two for feedback, and then release it properly. As a side project, I'll look at the possibility of an online (crowd sourced?) manual for the future, so it's easier to keep it up to date. This will benefit all the consoles.

    Pan Invert

Only if you select all of one fixture (by pressing "GROUP" in the Edit Fixtures window) and then changing the "ALL" row.
  3. Thanks for the comments Jan! Within ZerOS, we're currently combining Submasters and Playbacks together (submasters were available on Solution and ORB consoles). Once we've done that, the next job is to combine UDKs and Playbacks. Once we do this, it'll be much easier to link in MIDI commands as you suggest.
  4. Hi Kevin, We wrote our driver several years ago when WYSIWYG didn’t support Art-Net directly. However, now (and for several years) it has supported Art-Net, so that’s by far the easiest option – ignore the WYSIWYG driver, and ignore the settings in the “visualisation” part of SETUP, instead just concentrate on the Art-Net settings, as if it was any other Art-Net device.
  5. Thanks for the comments! We use monospaced fonts for various reasons. The main one is so intensities don't "jump" / "shake" all over the place when running a fade. There's another issue here that's not been covered... which is licensing and distribution. Unfortunately we can't just choose any font and start shipping it
  6. That's why we're here :-)
  7. Hi, I imagine the decimal is showing the Universe and the address. So, 1.35 would be Universe 1, address 35. The Jester console only has 1 universe, so you can ignore the "1." part. However, if there's a 2. or 3. something - you might need to rethink a little!
  8. When I said "they can come in two flavors", I was talking more generally rather than specifically on our consoles. We've moved from topset over to proportional on our Inhibitors currently, as that's usually the more popular option.
  9. It is on the roadmap - in fact ZerOS already supports MIDI Notes on other consoles, we just haven't brought it across to FLX yet as, truth be told, I think we can do a better job at it! Which, leads me to the question... How would you like MIDI Notes to work? What exactly would you like triggered, and how? Thanks Jon
  10. Hi, here's the fixture you need Starway SuperKolor.ift If there's anything else we can do, please let me know!
  11. Thanks for that detailed explanation - great stuff! Just expanding on two areas: Inhibitors Inhibitor faders can come in two flavours - one that just sets a topset, and one that proportionally scales (as Jan described above). If a fixture was at 50%, and then the Inhibitor was taken to 50%, a Topset Inhibitor would keep the fixture at 50%, whereas a Proportional Inhibitor would take the fixture to 25%. LTP Normally for Intensity we use "Highest Takes Precedence" rules - so it doesn't matter what order you do things in, if a fixture is at 50% on one fader, 75% on another, and 25% on another, the fixture will be at 75% - as this is "highest". However, LTP stands for "Latest Takes Precedence" - it means the latest thing you do is what "takes precedence". However, LTP gets a lot more messy thank HTP. Imagine you have a fader with a fixture at 100%, and you put it to full. And then you have another fader with the fixture at 50%. As soon as you start pushing that up, technically the "latest" command is to go to 1%, then 2%, then 3% etc. However, it's very unlikely that that's actually what you want to happen. So we are developing two different options - Soft LTP and LTP Catch. Soft LTP will fade the intensity from it's current level (whatever that might be) to its new one, even if that's in the "opposite" direction. LTP Catch works slightly differently. It says that nothing happens until you match (or "catch") the level - so if you have a fader up with a fixture at 50%, and then another fader with the same fixture at 100%, as you fade this second fader up, nothing will happen until you match the 50% level, and then the second fader will take over. Up to that point, it's not much different to HTP, however the difference is when you pull that fader back down, it will go all the way to 0%, not stop at 50%. We're still working on Soft LTP and LTP Catch - think of them in "beta" still!
  12. Hi Jan, There's various options available, depending what you want to achieve. The two we mainly use are MIDI Show Control (MSC) and MIDI Timecode (MTC). MSC allows a central device (often a computer) to send a message along the lines of "go cue 5". This allows you to sync multiple cues together - for example sound, lighting and video. On FLX, go into SETUP > Inputs & Outputs and enable "MIDI Show Control". Once enabled, you can also select a "Device ID" which is used to send messages to a specific device when there are multiple devices on the MIDI network. MTC allows a device to send out a time, in hours, minutes, seconds and frames (usually starting at 0h:0m:0s:0f), to multiple devices, so they can trigger cues based on the time. For example, during a song there maybe dozens of cues - so if there's a timecode linked in with the backing track, the lighting console can be programmed to automatically trigger cues at very specific timings linked directly with the music. On FLX, go into SETUP > Inputs & Outputs and enable "MIDI Timecode". You'll need to select which frame rate is being sent to the console - 24FPS, 25FPS or 30FPS.
  13. Labby is a software beta tester, who I believe might be running beta software. As there's been no reply regarding which software version is being run I'm closing this thread - beta feedback must be kept within the beta test forum, However, if this isn't the case, just drop me a PM and I'll reopen the thread.
  14. Operating them as four separate fixtures is definitely what we would suggest here. If you are in tracking mode, and "Smart Tag" is disabled (an option within the record window), you should get the option to "merge" as well as overwrite. This would be your best option. Jon
  15. We released 7.9 relatively slowly - online first, then publicised on social media, and then publicised through newsletters etc. Both of the download sites (x86 and ARM) have a note that says: (ORB, ORB XF and SCD Server Pro users can now choose to run this FLX software too. Download the software below, and follow the instructions within the release notes). So, in short, it's released for FLX, and it's still in beta for ORB XF.
  16. Yep - I think it's more obvious if we separate it out into two individual cells though :-)
  17. Hi, We decided to lay it out as it is currently, as you can then have your groups window on the internal monitor and get access to all 5 windows at the same time.
  18. Hi Lufferov, As Kevin says you can use a forward slash (which is easy IF you have an external keyboard, or use a showfile loaded from Phantom FLX). I've added an issue to make this easier - ZOS-7310 - thanks for pointing it out :-) There is a specification written to greatly increase the functionality of the copy window. Untill then, select the fixture you like, go to "beamshape" (or any other palette window), press RECORD, choose "selected fixtures" and "all parameters" in the Record Window, and then select an empty palette. Now you can choose the other fixtures, and press that palette. It's only chases you need to put into other playbacks. Effects can be recorded directly into a cue. We're looking into making effects more capable (so you need to use chases less often), and chases simpler to add into cues - so between these two, hopefully it'll make this even easier! Strange... I've never seen this (and use goto cue very often!). Do you have a showfile you can email me so I can take a look if there's anything which might cause this. Please keep the feedback coming!
  19. Hi Simon, Can you email me the showfile, I'll take a look.
  20. There will always be a way for users to create their own profiles. Eventually I'd like to get it on the console themselves (and via Phantom if working on a laptop).
  21. Hi Jonathan, To remove a fixture (from within the <Assign FIxtures> menu), highlight it and then press and hold the CLEAR button. To unaddress something (so you can use that DMX address somewhere else), go into the <DMX Patch> menu, select the channel and then just tap the clear button. Jon
  22. Hi Jonathan, If you upload (or email me) the profile you've made, we can take a look at it for you! Jon
  23. Hi Alg, You're correct - you can only "live edit" cues, not subs. Jon
  24. Hi Jay, They are already in the library - have you updated your console? zero88.com/software/library
  25. We'll be improving our support for this fixture in ZerOS 8.0 later this year.
