I think the ASCII video was perhaps the one that took the longest - a lot of content to squeeze into quite a small amount of time, and some confusing concepts (like Manufacture Specific Information layered on top of an ASCII showfile). The outtakes video is fun :-)

We can only submit 64 bit apps unfortunately, Appleās rules of the App Store

They're different, but both aiming to achieve the same end result. You can download a demo version of Capture (which works for 90 minutes and then needs to be restarted, and doesn't allow you to save) to see if you like it - http://www.capturesweden.com/ CITP stands for "Controller Interface Transport Protocol" - it's an Ethernet based "protocol" that allows consoles to talk to visualisers etc. It was originally developed by the team at Capture, but it open for anyone to use. There is more info here: http://www.citp-protocol.org/ Yes, that should be easy. Phantom ZerOS uses networks setup through Windows, so to change IP addresses etc, you do this through Windows, and then just select the IP address in Phantom. If using the same laptop, you can choose the 127.0.0.1 IP address.

Thanks Kevin. You can tell we're not sound guys, can't you! They were all filmed together, and have been uploaded and scheduled up until Christmas (along with an outtakes video for Boxing Day!), so we can't change the sound, but we've definitely learnt ready for next time (although never again are we filming, editing and uploading 26 videos in one month!!!).

As part of the ongoing upgrades to our website, the forum may temporarily show as unavailable or offline during Friday, and potentially into the weekend. We hope to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Hi Tom, Simplest option is to just output Art-Net or streaming ACN from the ORB XF straight into WYSIWYG. This can't be done from Phantom ZerOS unless you purchase the "Phantom ZerOS Unlock Dongle". If you don't need to use WYSIWYG, and can use Capture instead, we have demo showfiles (for both your laptop and the ORB XF), along with PDF instructions, available to download here: http://eatonfilesharing.box.com/Zero88. You can use Phantom ZerOS free of charge using CITP. Let us know the setup and we can give you more specific information. Jon

How do you (usually) use your Solution?
Jon Hole replied to Jon Hole's topic in Solution & Solution XL
There are multiple physical processors in all our consoles. For Solution, if we can reduce the load on the Co-Processor which powers the LCDs (by moving functionality away from MFKs, and onto the main processor which has plenty of head room) then this would hopefully help. We ship triple figure Solution consoles every year, and have only received a very small handful of complaints about performance from high-end users who really push the console's functionality... every release we're simplifying and optimising the software to improve the performance. -
How do you (usually) use your Solution?
Jon Hole replied to Jon Hole's topic in Solution & Solution XL
Thanks for the replies so far. The MFKs are not a particularly intuitive way of navigating menus (especially SETUP etc). Therefor, if we concentrated our development on using a mouse & monitor, and removed the limitation of using MFKs this could (a) make the user interface more intuitive, and (b) potentially help speed up the refresh of the LCDs as we wouldn't be using them (and hence changing them) so regularly. Would you be happy if you HAD to use a mouse and monitor (or touchscreen) for areas like SETUP, Playback Settings etc? -
Hi Veit, What device are you using to output MIDI from the computer? Jon

How do you (usually) use your Solution?
Jon Hole replied to Jon Hole's topic in Solution & Solution XL
Fair point - I've updated the question to "How do you (usually) use your Solution?" - realistically we'll only get a handful of responses, and so more descriptive answers in the comments is more helpful than the closed answers from the poll -
We're interested in how you use your Solution. Specifically, wether you use a mouse and/or touchscreen. Our aim has always been to allow Solution to work "stand alone" (ie, no monitor or mouse required). As ZerOS evolves, and we place more significance on graphical elements and multi-touch user interfaces, keeping Solution "stand alone" is becoming more and more difficult to achieve. Understanding how you use Solution will help us best develop for your needs.

There's a "red step on" and "red step off" effect - those sound like what you want to do :-)
