  1. This is definitely possible. Is your console running the latest software? If so, here are the instructions: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures/searching-filtering#filtering https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures/fixture-creator
  2. Hi Nathan, Please can you confirm which version of software you're running on the console? Could you also attach a copy of your showfile, and give clear steps on which playbacks it affects etc (apprecaite you said it only happens sometimes, but any info you give us will help us track down the problem) Thanks!
  3. It's worth voting for them in the "What would you like to see" thread. Currently it doesn't have many votes, which aligns with feedback I hear from other sources too. It would be a big job to implement well, and I suspect it would only positively impact quite a small number of users... but happy to be proven wrong 🙂
  4. This is already possible. Just keep the textbox empty when you change the universe using the top left button. Doing this means the addresses of each fixture do not change, only the universe... even if they aren't sequential

Hi @Nin, Are you carefully & fully following these instructions: https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/software-updates/zeros-usb-creator Jon
  6. Hi @Ian_p, We don't have a release date yet. I'd like to think it would be during November. Jon
  7. Hi @Davidmk, Yes - the mailbox is still valid. That was only 1 working day ago, and the support team are making their way through the emails from over the weekend. There have been some internal emails about your issues whilst we work out what's happening. FYI - it's logged as issue ZOS-12410 whilst we investigate. Jon
  8. All our distributors have access to spare parts, so it might be worth connecting your local distributor (if they have a service department)
  9. Hi @Davidmk, White Light is the Vari-Lite service centre, about two hours from you
  10. Yes, at the same time the 3-pin became a 5-pin, all new FLX S consoles shipped became 2 Universes. We've not shipped a 1 Universe console for a long time now (of course, our distributors might have had stock).
  11. Absolutely... it's a difficult one. The "official" answer is that DMX has "slots" not "channels"... but we're not going to start using that term. Edward and I discussed at length, many times. We vaguely settled on the terms that a "Fixture" has a "Channel number" and uses a block of "DMX Channels"... but I'm sure there will be inconsistencies dotted around.
  12. Release software? Ah, that's no fun. Where's your sense of risk and jeopardy?! 😜
  13. Have you followed the instructions on that dialogue box? It will ask you to save a file to USB, and email it to us. If you have, the team will take a look at it. Without that file, we can have no clue why it’s saying that, sorry.
  14. Better to drop me an email, and I’ll get in touch on Monday. Jon.hole@signify.com
  15. Official response: all the fun stuff lives in the 'Z' window! Unofficial response: anything we don't know where to put lives in the 'Z' window!
  16. These two beta's are now available though our beta forum (I said by the end of September!) I wasn't expecting both together, but it's great that we've managed to!
  17. Well spotted! I've forwarded this thread to our MarCom team to investigate - it presumably happened during the transition from the Z88 to VL YouTube channel. I had a very brief look around and couldn't find any others, but please let me know if you do.
  18. Hi @Sven76, This is by design - Auto Groups are based on Fixture Types, and so the automatic naming of groups are based on the Fixture Type names. Jon
  19. If there's a field for name (like a Cue Name, or a Fixture Name in the Fixture Schedule) we don't use SETUP, but otherwise we do (I'm sure there might be an obscure place where that rule isn't true, but for the most part it is!). On FLX S, there's a command line displayed in the Z window and in the Fixture Schedule - but only in those two locations.
  20. I'd hope by the end of September we'd have a beta for you. However, the roadmap has changed a little bit to enable us to fix some high priority bugs. Instead of being "ZerOS 7.15", this will now be: ZerOS 7.14.4 will be a bug fix release for all consoles ZerOS 8 will be for FLX & FLX S only, and will include the free of charge capacity increases We see these two releases being very close together - it's even possible (not guaranteed) that ZerOS 8 starts testing before ZerOS 7.14.4 is released. We're doing this to split the bug fixes across all consoles, and the new features / increased capacity on FLX & FLX S.
  21. The password is set on the console your connecting to (within SETUP), to ensure not anyone can just download the app, plug into your network, and take control.
  22. That's very kind, thank you 🙂 Lots of things weigh on my mind. Like... will I EVER get the opportunity to launch ZerOS 8? Or... is there still an Elf laying around the Cwmbran factory somewhere? Or... will Tyler ever learn to correctly pronounce Advent Calendar?
  23. Thanks for highlighting, it’s now been removed 👍
  24. @iank99's funeral will take place on Tuesday 7th May at 13:30 at Charter Chapel, Coventry Crematorium CV4 7DF. Family flowers only, donations in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital either on the day or via the funeral director’s website. The family have specified no mourning clothes at the funeral. Crew shirts, which relate to Ian’s connections via work or theatre are positively encouraged.
  25. If you only use webmail, there’s a chance on some systems that “mailto:” URLs will not work as your browser will not know what to open
