  1. First port of call would be to follow these instructions to replace the internal battery: http://zero88.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/507/0/error-bad-product-id
  2. Hi John, Can you plug a VGA monitor into the console? (most you can, but the very earliest ones you couldn't). If so, does anything appear on the screen? Have you ever replaced the internal battery?
  3. Hi Succa20, What is the LCD display saying?
  4. Hi Ferg, We don't put dates on releases, however we were previewing it at PLASA and it's near completion so it will hopefully only be a few weeks away. Regards,
  5. Have you got a smaller Memory Stick you can try?
  6. Hi Damo, Have you unzipped the software before putting it on the memory stick? If so, which USB stick are you using? How big is the memory? Regards,
  7. Hi, On the Jester range I'm afraid this isn't possible. To get around it, I create two steps for each colour. This way, it appears to have a 50% fade time, and 50% static colour. It doesn't take too much exctra time, as it just involves a double tap of the record button. In the same way, if you would like 33% fade time and 66% static, you record each colour as 3 steps. So a simple Red, Green, Blue chase would be programmed as: 1) Red 2) Red 3) Green 4) Green 5) Blue 6) Blue Hope this might help?
  8. There are minor differences between the two consoles, such as the default view for example. We can't comment on future software releases, as some of those decisions haven't been made yet, but the ZerOS Software, which runs on both consoles, will be supported and invested in well into the future.
  9. Are you familiar with 'catching' the channels? It means you have to take the fader to (or above) the value that channel is currently on. So if the channel is at 78%, and you want it to be at 50%, you have to take the channel fader up to at least 78%, and then back down to 50%
  10. Smart Tag has the same affect - positions don't get remembered if intensity is at 0%, so that move on dark can still work. Try turning off Smart Tag while you record that one cue - hopefully it will solve your problem.
  11. Hi Bizureus, Positions don't get remembered at 0 intensity if you are in nontracking mode - this is so move on dark can still work. If you want to be more specific with these things, either record the fixture just low enough so there's no light output from the fixture, but it's not at 0%, or switch into tracking mode
  12. Hi Labby, Are you programming in tracking or non tracking mode? Are you programming from the channel faders, or from the submasters?
  13. Hi, If the manufactures give us the RGB values for the colours in their colour wheels, the console automatically groups similar colours together (so all the yellows, all the reds etc etc etc) into single palettes. However, not many manufactures include these details, and so the console makes an individual set of palettes for each lantern. You can also 'switch' fixtures within 'Edit Fixtures' (inside SETUP). Click onto 'patch', select the fixtures on the Multi Function Keys, and then choose 'Change' under the 'Type' column.
  14. Hi James, The following is assuming you are in Tracking mode, and have Smart tag turned off (option available on the Multi Function Keys when you press 'special'). When operating fixtures, as soon as you move one of the parameter wheels that parameter will display 'inverted' on the LCDs above the wheels (the background will turn white and the text blue). All the parameters that are like this (we call it 'tagged') will be programmed into the submaster. So, if you want a submaster to have no control over a moving light at all, you have to ensure the moving light has no parameters tagged. You can either press the 'clear' button to remove all information from the programmer and start again, ensuring you only 'tag' what you want to record, or you can hold down the 'clear' button whilst moving a wheel to untag that specific parameter. Once you have moved a wheel, keep 'clear' held for a second before releasing it. In the same way, if you want a submaster to only affect position, and not colour / focus / gobo etc, ensure only 'Pan' and 'Tilt' are tagged on the wheels. Remember, when you press 'home', all parameters on that fixture get tagged. Hope this makes sense?
  15. Hi, I'm not aware of any good, free visualisers. it might be worth asking on a forum such as The Blue Room Regards,
  16. Hi Nigel, What is the LCD Backlight and Contrast set to in SETUP > Displays Setup Also, if you could email me the serial number, I can let you know if it's still in warranty. Regards,
  17. Hi Dan, There is an access diagram available here: http://zero88.com/support/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/491/30/orb-xf-access-diagram Once you open the console, the flash card is quite obvious - it's on the main PCB which is screwed onto the bottom metal work. If you have any problems, give us a call on 01633 833101 and someone will be happy to help you out.
  18. Being dealt with off-forum
  19. Hi Dan, There's a possibility that the flash memory card isn't seated correctly in the console, if it's had a bit of a bump or something similar. If you are happy to, it might be worth opening up the console and checking the flash card is pushed into it's reader correctly.
  20. Hi Dan, There is a very long list of future developments for ZerOS. Additional functionality to support fixtures with multiple RGB parametres is one of them. Regards,
  21. Hi, Both of these are included in our new Fixture Library release: http://zero88.com/forum/topic/6370-zero-88-fixture-library-release-24/ Regards,
  22. Hi Danno, Have you saved your show to USB? By doing that, at least you know you won't loose anything! Try going in and out of SETUP, as this forces the console to save onto the flash memory, and then reboot and see if it you loose your show. On boot, do you see any NVR errors listed?
  23. Hi Sam, Here's the fixture profile - it has a slightly strange method of control, so let me know how it works (it's very hard without having it in front of us!). The website, product page and manual all used different names, so I've just called it 'DMX Starcloth'! Regards, LEDJ Starcloth.ift
