  1. Hi Zero88 Team, there is one thing I am missing on my Jester ML since I used a bigger desk: Brightness Masters! Of course you can't compare the Jester ML to desks that cost about 3 times the money but this little feature would amazingly improve the desk for live use. I am currently working around this by recording all cues/submasters etc. without brightness and some extra submasters for controlling the brightness of my fixtures. The problem with this is, that I can't record different brightnesses to my fixtures without having to much submasters just for that. Also the edit feature is a bit uncomfortable because every fixture in the edited cue has to be turned on manually since there is no brightness recorded and therefor not brought out to the dmx line in edit mode. I think it would be a very good idea to introduce brightness masters. Maybe it can be done like this: In the flash button behaviour setup could be a new option 'master' which assigns the submaster as a brightness master for all fixtures that are recorded into this submaster. So I could easily record my cues and subs and the record another sub with all spots and another with all washers on 100%, make it a master and that's it. I don't know how the desk is programmed but since there is a grand master that dims every channel it should be possible to add the same feature just for specific channels. I would be very glad if you consider bringing in this feature. I really like the Jester ML, it's a great value console and can handle most simple live shows although it's basically a theatre desk. With this little but essential feature added, the desk could be more versatile. (Another great thing would be speed masters, but this feature is obviously reserved for more expensive desks. And also the independent tapping for each chaser works out pretty good) Hope to hear from you soon, Lukas
  2. Hi, I uploaded my *.JML File, I saved the show at the end of the event. I think I just entered programming mode, selected a palette and pressed edit, then the stage went dark. FUNTAS.JML
  3. This was the way I did it I just hoped there was another way. This would be a nice feature for the next Update I think. Maybe the usual behavior, the desk reproduces the palette which is currently edited but you can control the brightness of all fixtures concerned by this palette with the grand master or something like that. Thanks for your good support anyway!
  4. Well, my problem is if I press the edit button, the desk reproduces what's in the palette I selected. Since there is no brightness recorded the stage turns dark. But I can't just put off all lights till I manually brought the brightness channels back up, since there are people working on stage, preparing for the next band or there's a band performing at the moment. This is the more important issue with the edit feature, I forgot to mention that in the first post. But it's also not a really good workflow if I press edit and then have to reselect all my fixtures and bring the brightness up
  5. No ideas? Especially a workaround for the issue with editing palettes without recorded brightness channel would be very useful.
  6. Hi, after having used the Jester ML 24 for the first time with some Moving Heads and a few LED Pars I have got some questions: 1) Is it possible to group fixtures? Since there's nothing concerning this point in the manual I think, there is no such feature. It would be very useful to group fixtures together so you can select e.g. alls Macs, all LED Pars or all fixtures at once in the fixtures Menu. 2) I recorded all palettes and submasters without brightness channels to control the brightness on some extra submasters. This works great, but if I press the edit button the stage gets dark, since there is no brightness recorded. Is there anyway to avoid this? It would be easier to set a preset if I could see the current settings on stage. Best regards from Munich, Lukas
  7. I just expected this... Is there any way for Phantom ZerOS? I think it's not that different from the Jesters, if I only use features they also support.
  8. Hi, i was wondering if there is any software that provides a 3D Visualization for the Jester Offline Editor. This would a great help for pre-programming shows. Best regards from Munich, Lukas

    Palettes

Ok I got it I did only knew the workflow from the Licon where every Fixture has it's one set of Presets, and wanted to know if your bigger desks do it the same way.

    Palettes

Another Question just for my interest: Are the Palettes handeld the same way in the Leap Frog / Frog 2 or do these desks support different Palettes for different Fixtures?

    Palettes

Hi there, I finally got our new Jester ML24 (It's for a... let's say Youth Centre) and I really like it. But there is one thing i don't get managed. If I have 2 different Fixtures assigned, let's say a Scanner and a Mac, I can define e.g. Colour Palettes for the Scanner. But when i select the Mac there are the same Palettes as for the Scanner. If I change one of them this Palette also changes for the Scanner. Can I use different Palettes for specific Fixtures or is this not possible at the moment? This would be very useful. A stage with Wash Lights, some Spotlights, Scanners and maybe some LED Stuff is not really managable with 30 Palettes for all of these Fixtures. Best regards from Munich, Lukas
