  1. Is there already any sight on when this one may be solved? My LJ becomes very nervous when it is not possible to correct the position pallettes when the musicians arrive just before the show starts whithout the canche he again  has to transfer all the memories to the submasters :?
  2. I discovered the same kind of problem about a year ago (see my post of september 2003) For me it seems not only to affect the palettes, but also some memory data and it differs what kind of fixtures and from which fixture position you remove them. Despite of all the good work, Z88 did not solve this problem yet
  3. Been off for some time .... Is there already a follow-up for this problem, or will there be one ?
  4. I 've had the same problem a few weeks ago twice. After that I had no problems again until last week. Again all submasters had the default fade up/down time and I had to reload all tje memories to the submasters. I was just to post this problem by myself, but it seems that some of you guys where ahead of me. I'm not sure, but I think the problem occurs when you reboot the desk after it has saved the memory to flash. 8O
  5. You can use colour palettes to quick select a colour without the need of using the scrollwheel, but although you need to select the fixtures first.
  6. Mars, correct me if I'm wrong .... You programmed 9 scenes with OS 9.6 with, I think generics, using a fade up and down time. When running the scenes from stack it seemed that the scene uses the fade up and down time from scenenumber-1, or was it more from the previous selected scene ? With OS 9.6 you where not able to transfer those scenes to submasters at all ? With OS 9.2 everything works fine, just as you expected to do ? Jan
  7. Could it be that you're programming is just like your post on this forum? I can understand that the desk seems to act strange, maybe you can try to give a good explanation of the problems which you think that have may occured. (If English is not your strongest language to explain, try it in Dutch, there are some experienced users from the Netherlands on this forum)
  8. For as far I was able to test now the 9.6 OS handles shows that where created by the 9.2 OS without any problems. Can anybody confirm this or can I expect problems with the scenes/sequences which use position palletes :?:
  9. Can I quick scroll to a memory for editing it ? When I am at memory 1 and want to edit memory 85, do I than allways have to scroll to it with the '+' button ? (I am not using a monitor or keyboard) :?
  10. Would it be possible to add the tips & suggestions of this forum to the manual as some kind of Question & Answers part, or maybe better put it in some kind of help file with an search function. Cause searching every time through this forum trying to find just that one article takes lot of time .. :? :?
  11. I was not able to test it so far, but can you explain the difference between the referse and swap functionality ?
  12. Can't wait for that one :!: Jan
  13.  Sorry Angelos, I was too quick with an answer, but a simulation program is what some of us were waiting for but I did not know that it was released (was not posted on this board :?: ) I will also take a look at it and hope it's useful for a lot of us ....
  14. No, it is not a simulator .... No, you can't edit shows with it .... Yes you can create your own fixture types, what means that you can assign the DMX-channels and functions for a fixture that is not already in the fixtures list  Jan
  15. Hi Paul, I will check the battery this week amd send you two show-files, one just before deleting the fixtures when everything works OK and the second just after deleting two fixtures and lost colorsettings. Jan
  16. Oke, what exactly happens: 1. Restoring a fresh saved show seems to load OK, including submasters etc. but it seems that I for sure have to clear ALL MEMORY. 2. Adding 2 new fixtures to my existing desk setup don't mess up anything, so when I have free fixture places, NO PROBLEM 3. When I am deleting fixtures (that are even NOT programmed in a memory, but already assigned), all existing memories lose the color information. 4. For some unknown reason some memories which were transferred to submasters dissapear from the submasters. Mostly it seems to happen between two shows and could be caused by a transportation problem (Yes I have a high quality flightcase with 2cm foam in it) Is there any-one at Zero who can give some advice ? Jan Giezen
  17. Hello K-Nine 1. Indead I mean memories which have been transferred to the submasters. 2. I am programming the desk in partial mode - I think that I should be able to add a fixture to the desk without any strange effects to already existing memories ??! 3. For so far as I have been able to check at this moment, only the memories are saved to disk cause when I reload a show without first re-asigning the fixtures, I get an error. After reloading the show all submasters are empty while memories where transferred to it before saving the show. Jan Giezen
  18. Hi there, My fatfrog (software version 8.1) has some strange problems, which make it nearly impossible to work with it. 1. It often loses the tagged memories to the submasters, the memories are still there but before running a show I have to re-tag them to the submasters. 2. When I want to add a new fixture to an empty fixture-button, very strange things happen, such as: - some position pallets are dissapeared - all programmed memories have lost the color settings - sometimes position settings are lost - complete memories disappear - restarting the fatfrog sometimes recovers some problems for a while 3. At this moment I have to reload the show from a disk and re-tag the memories to the submasters before doing a show. 4. Some questions - can the problems be caused by a bad memory ? - can submaster data also being saved to a floppy ? - is it possible to save the complete fatfrog configuration to a floppy ? - anyone any ideas about the problems ? Thanks, Jan Giezen
  19. I encountered the same problem of losing submaster info, I programmed a lot of chases and scenes and have added them to the submasters with 'transfer no time'. I did the programming about a week ago. The first time I used the desk was about 4 days after and I discovered that some submasters were empty, the next day several other submasters were also empty. The scenes and chases where still there, but I had to program them to the submasters again. I own this desk now for about a year and did not discover the problem before, but changed from full to partial mode about a week ago after my fatfrog fully crashed and I had to reload the operating system (last version)
  20. Is it possible to program a chase so that it is just run once from step-1 to step-n when tapping a submaster flashbutton or pulling up a submasters fader :?:
  21. How can I make a chase start at step 1 directly when I pull the submasterfader up (and not somewhere in the middle of the chase) :? :?:
  22. OK, I can understand that it is a hard thing to do, cause I am a software developper too, but suggesting the use of a mambofrog is out of the question I think, cause I own the fatfrog not yet for one year now and I need the 24 generic channels on it. Maybe any suggestions : - use one of the function buttons to determine the function of the subgroup flashbuttons. - in the first mode the flashbuttons work as usual - in the second mode the flashbuttons are recalling a memory, no matter whitch submasterbank is selected, after releasing the submaster flashbutton everything proceeds as it was befor pressing it. Sounds not so difficult to me .... :? Also as mentioned in the other topics, what about realtime adjustment of the chase speed ? One other question, do you think there would be a marked to release some kind of developers tool, software modules (objects) and a kind of simulation program so that someone can add it's own functionality to a standard operating system on the frog range desks??.. :?:
  23. Like to have a possibility to assign memories (read scenes) to, for example, the twelve submaster flashbuttons so that I can direct call a scene without the need to switch to another submasterbank. Running submasters should still continu, so the flashbuttons should work on LTP base, after releasing the flashbutton the called scene should quit and everythig should be as before pressing the button. In best the button should be act as a switch and you could use one of the function keys to decide if the flashbuttons would operate as normal or as de dedicated quickflashbuttons. :?:  :?
  24. Hi there, I'd like to have a feature so that I can quick recall some memories. These memories contain scanner settings to put a soloïst (guitarist or singer, etc) in the scannerbeams while (s)he is playing a solo. I was thinking of using the submaster flashbuttons in combination with a functionkey, in the desk setup you should define if the flashbutton acts like a button or a switch. In this situation the running shows in the submasters may not be interrupted and after releasing the solo position the running show still should continue. Hear from you guys, Jan
