When outputting palettes - have you remembered to select your fixtures FIRST and then apply the palette ?
-
One thing to remember about LTP Parameters (colour, beamshape, position and movement effects) is that they cannot be 'undone', 'untriggered' or 'released' ... there is no history of what they were doing previously stored in the desk. For example, if you set the colour of some fixtures to red and then to green, you cannot 'undo' the green command to return to red ... you need to repeat the operation that turned them red.

Help! How do i have a chase going with generic lights static
K-Nine replied to farazm's topic in Frog Range MK1
Simplest solution is to program the chase as a memory outside your normal memory stack, transfer it to a submaster and then run it when you want. -
In the Zero 88 Fixture Library (which is available on this forum) there are a number of fixtures which are listed under the manufacturer <CONVENTIONALS>. <CONVENTIONALS> Dimmer Ellipsoidal Flood Fresnel Parcan Pebble Convex Profile Softlight Each of these fixtures has a single brightness (intensity) channel. To assign one of these fixture types to a fixture button on your fat frog you will need to have a copy of the fixture library on a floppy disk inserted into your desk. Follow the instructions on how to assign a fixture type from floppy disk (Manual Page 6-5). Select <CONVENTIONALS> as the manufacturer and then Dimmer as the fixture type.

Do what ? Please explain what you wish to do, and if it's possible then we will try and explain how to do it

Help! How do i have a chase going with generic lights static

I guess it depends mainly if you want live control of the chase or not. and how you wish to integrate it into the rest of your show . If you want to start it, stop it or adjust the modifiers live then putting it onto a submaster is probably the best idea. Create a chase memory outside your normal memory stack and transfer it onto a submaster. It's speed, or indeed any of the other chase modifiers should not change while the chase is running unless you change any of the modifiers live on the desk. -
Depending on what you have assigned to the UDF's, pressing their flash buttons will in certain cases generate a command on the command line. When a command is entered (by whatever means) the main screen on the touch screen becomes the active window (as it contains the command line) and therefore replaces whatever window may have been on the touch screen previously. Was this a real 'crash' which generates a debug file which can be saved to the memory stick on re-boot or a lock-up ? Is there any sequence of events or operations that cause this to happen ? You say that the two playbacks / chases contained the same fixtures ? If an active playback (or UDF/UDK) no longer owns any nodes, it is automatically released by the desk - this process is called 'Stomping'. Having got your fixtures doing the required effect, select the ones you wish to move in the opposite direction and simply set the offset effect parameter to 50%

Auto Palettes have been implemented in Version 3.0 software - see Release notes for full details. We have already received some feedback on auto palettes and will be looking to improve this function in future versions

The report functionality was removed from the ML software for a number of reasons, some hardware related and others software related.

Why not contact Procol Harum ... they did a nice Whiter Shade of Pale

Firstly have a look at the Submasters chapter in the manual If you only want desk channels on the subs then put the desk into Partial Mode, and ensure that any movers intensity is at zero and all movers are untagged when you record the channel data onto the submaster.

I have tried to reproduce this on the desk in our demo room. I selected a group of fixtures and then kept applying colour and beamshape palettes and moving their position using the mouse. I must have entered a couple of hundred commands at least on the command line and it seemed to continue working as normal. Were you carrying out any other operations on the desk when the command line 'filled up' ?
-
As commands are entered directly or indirectly they are displayed on the command line of the touch screen. Certain commands are cleared after completion, others remain in the command line so that they can be removed one at a time if required using the <--- Key. A double CLEAR will clear all the commands in the command line, and undo all previous commands since the LED in the key was first lit. As the command line starts to get full it should throw away the oldest commands - maybe this is not working correctly - I will investigate the problem here.

There are still quite a lot of functions 'in the pipeline' for the development of the Frog 2 desk. It will be up to Sales and Marketing and the feedback we get from users that determine the order in which we develop these features

I'm not sure ... need to check with the engineer who wrote the software. I have a pair of PC speakers connected to the Line Output socket on my demo desk, with the volume control on the speaker itself ... works fine
-
You also need to set the Time Code to CD Time in the Cue Stack Setup Window for the particular cue stack. To display this window enter the command STACK N SETUP.

Ensure that the desk is in Partial Mode. Select your fixtures, set them to red using a red palette if you have already programmed one or using the wheels to set the colour to red. Select the required submaster and record just the Colour attribute in the channel data. Note - Whenever you raise the submaster fader ALL the fixtures you programmed in the channel data will go to their programmed values (eg red). If you only want certain fixtures to go red, select the fixtures and apply the red palette

If Peter's created the file for you then there's a good chance it will
-
The only thing on the desk that determines which way a fixture moves on adjusting the pan and tilt parameters from 0 - 100% is the Alignment data in Setup - Edit Fixtures.
-
Maybe we should take all the different functionality that is provided on all the different desks we make and put it onto a single mega desk so that it could emulate any of our current desks - problem solved - apart from the fact that it would cost you far more than you would be willing to pay
-
Click on the word "Download" under the paper clip symbol in Peter's post ... worked OK for me
-
Probably best to have one on a submaster and the other on a memory or both on submasters
-
Certain fixture parameters on some fixture types have random, stand-alone or sound activated functions at the top of their DMX range. If your fixture appears to be doing things on it's own - try homing it or homing the appropriate attribute (colour, beamshape or position).
