  1. If you click on the MEMORIES, SUBMASTERS or OUTPUTS button on the front panel then the monitor window should change to the corresponding screen.
  2. Please check that you have the latest version (10.4) of the operating software on the desk. There were a few bugs relating to movement effects that were fixed in this version. When programming submasters using palettes or directly setting parameter values with the control wheels, ensure that the required fixture parameters are TAGGED before pressing the PROGRAM button. The easiest place to see this is in the Fixture Outputs Screen (hold down F1 and press a fixture selection button). Tagged states are shown when the 'WHEELGROUP' button is held down.
  3. Yes, you can select a fixture and control it's pan and tilt movement live using the control wheels, but I don't know how easy or accurate that would be :?
  4. The SMPTE/MIDI/CAN/DMXIN kit will allow you to use SMPTE or MIDI timecode as triggers for your memories. You can also use the Frog Screen, Chillinet Panels, or the Chillinet RS232 Node to trigger memories. Fitting instructions are HERE.
  5. Hold down the F1 key and press the up or down arrow key to switch between displaying SX buttons 1-24 and 25-48
  6. Are you saying it is not actually patching the fixtures correctly ? When I tried this the other day the fixture was patched correctly and output the data on the correct DMX output channels; it was simply the case that one of the patch views only displayed the first instance that the fixture was patched to.
  7. As far as I know there have not been any changes made to the way that memories fade from one to another on the memory stack. NOTE: The times taken for generic/brightness channels to fade in or out are always defined in the incoming memory For further details and discussion CLICK HERE
  8. No A submaster can be programmed directly with channel data OR it can have a single transferred memory which can be a scene memory or a chase. Providing it is acceptable for the chases to have the same modifiers (direction, attack, drive, speed) could you not just program all the data into a single chase ?
  9. Confusion can sometimes arise due to the terminology used especially when it comes to channels, fixtures, dimmers, dimmer numbers, DMX addresses etc Am I correct in assuming that you are trying to patch a single channel fixture to several consecutive DMX addresses ? I have just tried it here and it seems to patch the dimmers OK and output the data on the correct DMX output channels. Frog 2 Reference # 7219 - There appears to be a bug in the display of the patch data in the Outputs View of the Patch. Please can you check what you see in the other views of the Patch screen - Fixtures View and Channels View.
  10. The DMX channel assignments can usually be found in the operating manual for the fixture or on the manufacturer's website. Once you have this information you can create your own fixture type using the fixture type editor. The links to the editor and the user guide can be found HERE

    Mambo Frog

Assuming that the SX Master (and Grand Master of course) are at full, then the HTP (fixture brightness parameters) values that are programmed into the SX buttons, either as channel data or as a transferred memory, will be output when the SX button is pressed. Unless of course those values are currently being output at a higher value from another source elsewhere on the desk. SX Buttons are essentially submasters without the fader.
  12. It is not possible to increase the memory storage of the desk. Chase memories will use more than scenes as they require one 'memory block' per step of the chase (see manual page 5-1 for details) The Illusion 120/240 desk is not designed to control moving lights. That is why the Illusion 500 was developed which is designed to control moving lights and has the necessary user interface to do this The latest software has a number of additional features and bug fixes (see manual or release notes for details). Old shows will probably run on the new software but may not run perfectly.
  13. The functionality and user interface philosophy of the fat frog and bull frog desks are identical. You just get twice as many generic faders, fixtures and submasters on the Bull Frog
  14. 14th Mar 2006 - Zero 88 launch new charity initiative Zero 88 are not to giving away ‘Swag’ this year, choosing to launch an aid initiative for Africa instead. Why? FULL STORY HERE.
  15. To select the Next memory for editing, copying etc you can always type the memory number in directly if you have an external keyboard attached. This is much quicker than using the cursor keys
  16. Frog 2 Operating Software - Version 3.0.8 Version 3.0.8 of the Frog 2 Operating Software is now available from the Zero 88 Support Centre. CLICK HERE. This version contains optimisations in the on-board LCD Touchscreen firmware to make it faster and more robust. Upgrade the desk software as normal and then carry out the following to install the new LCD Touchscreen firmware on the desk: * Ensure you have an external monitor connected to Monitor 1. * Select SETUP [Clear Options] [software Versions] to display the Versions screen on the LCD Touchscreen. * Hold down the SHIFT key and then press CLEAR. The Update Firmware window is displayed on the LCD Touchscreen. * Select [LCD] and then confirm the update. The LCD Touchscreen will go blank during the update. DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE POWER WHILE THE UPDATE IS IN PROGRESS. * Monitor 1 shows the progress of the firmware update. When the update is complete switch the desk off and back on.
  17. The mark cue feature and/or the ability to assign times to auto move while dark are both items which are in an ever-growing list of potential updates to the software. As you can appreciate, there are numerous suggestions made for new features, improvements, modifications etc. and these are reviewed periodically to determine what will get implemented in the next software release. We cannot promise to implement every single suggestion, but we do listen to user feedback and it does provide an important part of the development of the desk
  18. Move on Dark is a function of the Cue Stack itself rather than individual cues. Have you checked the parameters in the Cue Stack Setup Window for the cue stack that you have copied the cues to ? Please can you explain what you mean by 'blocked the cue' as there are 'block' and 'unblock' functions in the Cue Stack Setup Window which again apply to the whole cue stack. It may be just a case of misunderstanding the various terms
  19. At the moment I believe it is only possible to move, copy or delete a single cue at a time. We are planning on improving the command syntax in a later version of software to allow you to move, copy or delete several cues (or other items) in a single command.
  20. If you have the manual for the fixture and can identify what function appears on which DMX channel you can create your own fixture type using the Fixture Type Editor.

    UDF's

The different types of UDF, how to record them, how they operate and their setup parameters are all described in the operating manual pages 109 - 116
  22. You can record a cue or channel data (which can include an added effect) onto a UDF. The UDF can then be set to operate in HTP or UDF mode (UDF Setup Window). Fixture Parameter UDF - You can also record a particular fixture parameter (eg gobo, gobo rotation, shutter et.) for one or more fixtures onto a UDF which then gives you live control of that particular parameter. Whether the UDF works LTP or LTP mix or an inhibitor can be set up for each individual UDF via the UDF Setup Window - see operating manual pages 109 - 113 for full details.
  23. Firstly, how do you intend to put a chase onto a UDF ? You can assign a number of different things to a UDF but a chase (which is essentially a complete cue stack) is not one of them. You could always program a cue stack and then set it to run as a chase. Then program a macro that causes the cues stack (chase) to run and then either run the macro directly or assign it to a UDK and run the macro by pressing the UDK
  24. OK, firstly we need to know what effect you are running, as the different effects apply the effect parameters (function, size, speed etc) to different fixture parameters (pan, tilt, dimmer, iris etc). Some effects only apply to a single parameter, others such as movement effects generally modify the outputs of both the pan and tilt parameters. I believe that the effect parameters will fade to their programmed values in the same fade time as the fixture parameter itself but this is something we will need to check out, as the 'function' effect parameter may be processed differently to the other scalar parameters.
  25. Have you checked out the Fixture Editor User Guide - CLICK HERE
