  1. When you replaced the battery what condition was it in, was there any signs of corrosion etc. It would be easier if you PM on the address below.
  2. The diablo was never designed to do this, as you have found the remote is only for stepping through the memories. The only thing that you may be able to use is the global chase functions as this will put the chase controls on to button pushes.

    Betapack 2 problems

Think you also posted this on the Blueroom as well. If yes then you have sorted the problem from what I read. If not, or as I replied on the Blueroom PM on the address below.
  4. There should be an RCD fitted to the distribution board the dimmer is connected to. If not then the pack should be protected by one. This has to be suitable rate for the current being drawn but needs to be of a 30mA trip rating to provide correct protection. For MCB would recommend you use C type. B are for domestic use you may find that you get nuisance trips on this.
  5. No the jester does not have this function, the LEDS are used to indicate other things to do with submaster and channel levels when editing etc. The channel output level display is only on the monitor screen.
  6. What heads are you using, and which mode etc. Some heads combine a dimmer and shutter on the same channel, in this case we se them as LTP channels as default, think mini mac profiles. PM me on the address below for more information.
  7. PM on the address below and I will talk you thorugh what you need to do with this.
  8. Yes there is an internal fuse. It is a 50mA T type 5mm by 20mm glass fuse located on the triac PCB between the transformer and the live input from phase 1. You can use an 80mA if you can't loacate a 50 but would not go higher than this. To loacte the fuse: Isolate the pack from the mains supply. Remove the lid of the unit. With the front of the pack towards you the transfomer is on the LHS of the PCB.

    Chilli-net issues

Hi quickest thing would be to give me a call or PM me a number to call you on if you can get infront of the dimmers and desk so I can go through somethigns with you. Number and address is shown below. Other than that, there is no limit to the number of channels that can be in a single memory, but the channels levels are taken from the DMX input, manual control and current memory that is replaying. When using a DMX input to set the channel levels you need to ensure the other two are not set or active. For the channels go into manual control, Set all channels in Area and make sure these are at 0. For the memories go into memory, play memory and play back area 0 memory 0. Then set the levels using the desk and record them as normal.
  10. The reason that you have no overall dimmer channel showing is due to the Illusion not supporting the virtual dimmer channel in a fixture profile. It therefore ignores this channels when assigning the wheels. This is the same with the original Frog Range. It is only the newer products, Jester ML/TL and ZerOS desk that do support a virtual dimmer.
  11. very strange fault, can you pm me on address below to work through a solution for you.
  12. Think that I may have already had contact with you on this. If not please PM me on the address below and I will got through some things we can look for.
  13. As long as the faders are still bringing the green LED on when you take them up, then the only cause of this would be corruption of the soft patch on the desk. Simplest thing to do is reset the patch back to 1 to 1 by using the super user reset (RS) option. If this then happens again it may indicate the internal battery is starting to fail.
  14. Not seen anything like this that only shows up in Run mode. Any sort of fader fault would show in preset, program and run. Are you using the A preset live control in run mode or have you programmed the levels the B memory masters and repaly from there? Please e-mail me back on the address in the signature below.
  15. It sounds more like the rotary pot is faulty. When you turn the knob do you get a distinctive click as you go from manual to timed. If you want to PM on the address below I can go through some test with you.
  16. Hi Paul, the fade knobs are collet knobs this means that they are held in place by a nut. If you look at the top of the knob you should see that it has a line runing around it you can then lift this part off to get at the nut, from memory it a m8 nut. Replacement pot is order code 4407000 for the older levels, and 4407500 if it the level plus. You need to conact either your local dealer or our customer services team for pricing.
  17. Hi Richie, think I spoke to you this morning if not then please drop me a mail or call the dd number below.
  18. Yes you are correct when you use the reset "RS" option in super user this will reset the patch back to 1-1. When you run RS though it is noramly a double push of the GO button, RS will flash while it is doing this and then come up with "CL". Did you see this or did it stay on RS? PM on the address below if you want any further information.
  19. Sounds like dirty faders. Can you pm on the address below so I can go through some tests with you.
  20. That sounds like a problem with the PSU going into reset when the drive is accessed. This could indicate a problem with the PSU. Try measuring the 5v rail and see what its level it is at. It could also indiacte a problem with the drive motor over drawing. It might be be a case of things right on the edge of their tolerance. The drive is drawing a little more than it used to due to age etc, the PSU over load sense circuit is right on the edge.
  21. Not aware of any issues with either the chase or cue transfer functions on that version of the OS. I would run the update and retry the desk to see if this does cure the problem. It may also be worth running the front panel test. PM me on the address below and I will pass the information on for you.
  22. Think that I may have already dealt with the first question with regards to the RS485 conncetion off forum. To confirm the RS485 or DMX conenction, as it is more commonly refer to, has to be made on the fourway terminal block with in the dimmer. It is labled as -RS485, +RS48v, 0v and AL. The RJ12 is a connection point for us to upload software into the dimmers, or if it is need as a connection for the Chilli network. Dexter if you have any questions please PM me on the address below, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
  23. Sounds like something may be corrupt as the ID3 invalid should not be displayed. It is worth installing the OS as you are not running the latest version anyway. It may also be a seating issue with the on board RAM moduel. May be worth removing and cleaning the edge of it. It is easier if you use the e-mail address below to contact me if you need any further help.
  24. Now being dealt with off forum
  25. This is not something we have come across before, but from the dimmer serial number that you have given it about 7 years old so it will certainly not be running latest version of firmware. Please PM me on the address below so we can go through the options availble to get your dimmers firmware updated.
