  1. Greetings fellow demented lampies, Just wondering is it possible to patch generics to the fixture buttons, if so how? and how many will I get?(per button) and how will I control them. Boring shows do this to my poor head 8O
  2. Why not program that your self, record as a cue, dump it to a sub on page 12, & remember to jump over it in the memory stack incase of accential trigering during show time.

    VGA Output

Is there any way of connecting the vga output of the desk to a laptop so as to use the screen of the laptop instead of lugging a monitor around?. Ask your techs if its possible. :?
  4. Why not program the show for stage one, save to disk. Program stage 2 save to disk, load show 1 run it, when its over load show 2 & run it.
  5. I`d sooner let the school kids at it then some of the festival heads that have asked me.
  6. Any chance of being able to name a show when saving to disk, don't know about you boys but dates mean nothing to me. It would make life a lot easier if you could see some text instead of a date.

    Joystick?

Do you supply FREE replacement buttons as I think my up & down ones are about to go through the back of the desk. Thank god the desk is handier to program than to get that frog into its box!!!.
  8. How many lamp`s have you? if 400 steps is`ent enough. just wondering, cause I get fedup after about 12 steps. :?
  9. Just plug the vga into the desk, and away you go
  10. Where do I plug in my playstation two controller to get frog across the road?, & do all your drivers drive so bad?.
  11. How about a mind control device where you just think your chases and moving light paterns, you,ll sell em by the truck load.
  12. Can the fatfrog control more than 12 fixtures?. Use F3 to turn the fixture buttons into a page select, ie. press F3 then fixture button 1, this now gives control over the first 12 fixtures, pressing F3 and fixture button 2, this now gives control over fixtures 13 to 24, and so on. Is this hairbrain idea possible or should I stop doing your heads in. :!:

    Subs

Is there any chance of getting a fade in/out time on the subs with out recording it in the memory stack and then having to transfer it to a sub. Because its a pain in the duck having to do it that way. :?: :?: :!:
  14. Well I`m still picking bits of mud out from the fader tracks, but in true lamping spirit, wrap it in tin foil " IT WON`T BLOW NOW!", No I can`t change that gell, no I`m NOT part of the band, & yes I do want my money up front! until the next cartoon "HEADS DOWN MOLES TO FULL!!!"
  15. At a festival only a few days ago, both me,fatfrog, noise boy his effects rack and desk found out the hard way that unlike it`s name the FATFROG does not like mud!! The local builder constructed both stage & F.O.H tower. I was set up on the upper deck frog, monitor & keyboard throwing some colour into a grey overcast summers day. After a couple of hours programming the FOH sound desk appeared! yes all 52 channels sitting on a fork lift, why so duck big i wondered when i have 512 channels and i can carry it my self? Any who the fork lift clipped the FOH tower BRINGING me and an array of FOH equipment into the soft sticky $#ite which surounded it`s base. Now who ever came up with the idea to call the desk after something which loves water should think again. The only fatality on the day was my monitor and keyboard, the frog was covered in mud head to flipper, it still worked did the show. Cheers to the designers of the armoured FATFROG!.
  16. What`s the chance of an off line editor for the frog range,so we can break the back of programming on site and get to catering for a change! Something with a visual aspect would be nice,so we can see what we are doing!! ANY ONE ELSE UP FOR THE IDEA??
  17. Three things missing off the fatfrog desk, 1. A drink holder 2. A cigarette lighter 3. An ashtray. Can these be included in the new upgrade :?:
  18. Come on lads & ladys of the lamping world, post your jokes( no frog ones)
  19. Test your dmx cable, & insert an end of line XLR(120 ohms) see if that does the trick, dont use noise boy cables they curse them you know! :!:
  20. If it was the same mac acting up, its the internal settings of the mac. Get your manual out and start pushing buttons! Good luck!!
  21. Yep! sounds good to me. Also to be able to see "CLEARLY" what channel numbers were saved to that sub.

    Generic outputs

Ya I know, but if you could somehow see what was patched to fader 7,ie ch. 1,34,56 would come up on the monitor somewhere, like on theatre desks,.. Cheers.
  23. Top o the morn to ya, On the output screen you can see 1 to 48 but you cant see whats patched to each fader, now i know you can bring up the dmx screen BUT what a mess. Is there any way this can be made clearer? :?
  24. Well mugs, gold or not are no replacement for a blaged " free " desk lamp. No point having 96K on stage and a cigarrate lighter at the desk, it can cause burnie burnies. As you can see a well programmed show can leave a man with nothing else to do but fill this site with rubbish, while the "NOISE BOY" god bless them has been trained in the fine art of pushing that GO button, cheers VINNIE,. 8)
  25. Would it be possible when a scenes from subs or memory stack is being played back live that the flash buttons light up,to tell you which generic channels are in use, so if the scene has to be edited it`s easier to see where they are. When using the monitor, the faders from 1 to 48 should show what DMX channels are patched to them. Can we start to name the shows both on screen & when they are saved to disk instead of wondering what the duck is show 1,2,3 etc..... More whinging as I find things!.
