  1. set the actual beat speed by pressing the STEP button twice
  2. Beat Drive The Search button is your friend... edit: fixed links
  3. Frog Reference 5400 - Allow additional characters when naming items; Backspace and Delete keys should also work in text editing via external keyboard.
  4. See also THIS TOPIC. Frog Reference 5496 - The desk software does not recognise long filenames when assigning fixture type from floppy disk or loading CFT - to be fixed in future release. Also applies to length of show filename.
  5. The shots parameter is copied from the memory to the SX button when you press transfer. After that you can edit the shots parameter on the SX button independently of the memory. Any changes you make to the shots parameter on the memory after doing the transfer will not be reflected on the SX button. The LED next to the chase speed pot indicates whether or not you have 'picked up' the chase speed when editing. It's all in the manual I'm sure. There is however a Frog Reference number for some indication of chase speed / step on the LCD: Frog Reference 5427 - Indication on the Main LCD and appropriate monitor screen of chase speed and current step for the currently selected chase (memory, submaster, SX button) - Future Item.
  6. The problem with n-shot chases is not in the transfer, but in creating the chase in the first place. Frog Reference 5476 - Programming chases - the n shot parameter is not remembered and is reset to 0 after selecting finished. Bug to be fixed in next software release. If you re-edit the number of shots on the memories screen and then transfer the chase, the shots parameter should transfer correctly. Well it does for me anyhow
  7. Try a Google search for D54 Protocol Converter then ring around for some prices... Alternatively the friendly chaps on The Blue Room may be able to point you in the right direction.

  9. The problem isn't just limited to the transfer (with/without time) pop-up, if you change submaster page when other pop-ups are active (e.g. Frog Screen, Edit, Preview, even Frog Run), then the Memories Screen menu navigation appears to hang when the pop-up is cleared. The problem is also seen on the SX Screen on the Mambo Frog. Simply hitting the Memories or SX Screen button clears the problem.
  10. If they ever got to 3, they might have to lift something
  11. If you ever manage to program that many chases, let us know
  12. 24 on the submasters, plus 48 on the SX's, plus 2 on the Playback X (current fading into next).
  13. It's not something we've ever written! It might have been done by one of our dealers though. If anyone would like to own up to this and let us have a copy, we could publish it on our website for the benefit of all. Cheers, Paul.
  14. The Sigma is 4x 5A power switches, analogue control only. The manual for the Sigma/Delta can be downloaded from our support website: CLICK HERE.
  15. Taking GLX's idea a step further, if you had Chilli Pro, Spice, Rack6 or Install6 dimmers, you could connect them all up on Chillinet, and control the manual override levels remotely with a Chilli Master Controller. Save you even having to walk to the dimmer room...
  16. You could make a fixture (using the Fixture Type Editor PC tool) which controls the working lights channel as an LTP channel (i.e. it has to be in the Colour, Beamshape or Position groups). Then, operating the desk in Partial Mode, just make sure that fixture is not tagged when programming.
  17. If you hover over the controls with the mouse in Phantom Frog, it tells you in the status bar (bottom left) what they are.
  18. You can only have one Chilli Master Controller on the network. I suspect you could connect more than that, but you're going to get yourself into a right muddle as they won't stay in sync with each other! The number of wall panels is limited by the +12V power available from the dimmer. You can have up to 4 panels per dimmer. If you want more, you'll need to add a +12V booster supply somewhere on the network. Any old +12VDC supply will suffice.
  19. Hi sp, The website has been fixed! Thanks for pointing out the problem. Regards, Paul.
  20. No-one is saying that this is not a valid suggestion or would not be a useful feature on the Frog. However we have to make a commercial judgement as to how much we are going to give away to existing Frog users, against investing this effort in more advanced products such as Illusion500 and Frog2. We also need to consider how adding these types of complex features would detract from the ease-of-use of the Frog series. In this instance, we feel that this sort of feature is best left to higher specification product. We're sorry if you don't agree with us on this, but we do not have unlimited resources to implement every feature that is suggested. That said, we do appreciate feature suggestions, and they do get much discussed around the office. There are many suggestions on this forum that have not and maybe will not make it in to the Frog series, but have guided us on the development of other products such as Frog2. If you wish to upgrade to a Frog2, then we would be happy to offer you a trade-in on your existing desk. Get in touch with your local sales contact if you're interested.
  21. We're not going to make the Frog open-source I'm afraid. Very quickly it would all become very messy and would tie up a lot of our time supporting it. If you need to run multiple chases simultaneously from a memory stack then you should be looking at the Frog2 console. I think you could even do something similar with Macros triggering submasters on the Illusion500. In all honesty I think this kind of complexity is beyond where we currently see the Frog series going.
  22. Areas only relate to Chillinet, and have no effect on DMX control.
  23. Channels on Chilli Pro dimmers can be assigned to 'Areas'. A channel can exist in only one Area. A Chillinet control panel can control only one Area. You can have any number of Chillinet control panels controlling the same Area. For the situation you describe, you have 2 choices: 1. Use one Chillinet control panel, and put all channels in the same Area. Then program your memories on the Chilli Pro dimmers with various combinations of dimmed channels and sodiums/fluorescents. The panel would then simply call up these pre-set combinations. 2. Use two Chillinet control panels, and put the dimmed channels in one Area and the sodiums/fluorescents in a second Area. After programming some memories, you would then have more flexible playback options where you could mix and match scenes from the dimmed channels and scenes from the sodiums/fluorescents. You can always try out the first option, see how you get on with it, and if you find you need more flexibility later, just add a second panel and reprogram.
  24. The Chilli Pro 0410HF has Mains, DMX and Chillinet connections just like every other Chilli Pro dimmer. The only difference is that instead of having a single Triac output per channel, it has a relay output plus a 0-10V analogue/DSI control output per channel. A DIP switch inside the dimmer selects whether the control outputs are 0-10V analogue or DSI. Just for information, there are 3 basic kinds of control signal for dimmable HF fluorescent ballasts. In each case you supply 230V to the ballast plus the control signal. Note that the control signal is not galvanically isolated from the 230V so mustn't be connected to a Demux or any other SELV control gear. Analogue - 0-10V analogue control signal. DSI - digital control signal. DALI - newer standard for digital control - not currently supported by the Chilli Pro 0410HF. You don't have to use the 0-10V analogue/DSI control outputs, they're just there if you need them. For Sodiums etc you'd just use the relay outputs. Hope this helps, Paul.
  25. Hi Sam, Yes this is possible. To control the Fluorescents/Sodiums you would want the Chilli Pro 0410HF dimmers. These have 4x 10A relay switched outputs plus 4x 0-10V analogue or DSI outputs to control fluorescents with dimmable (HF) ballasts. The 'Wall Panels' are Chillinet control panels which fit into a standard UK backbox. Various options are available - 2,5,7,10 buttons, keyswitch, stainless steel/brass finish etc. - CLICK HERE. Chillinet control panels call up Scenes (max 12) or Sequences (max 3) which are stored in Chilli Pro dimmers. They are connected using standard CAT5 cabling. DMX connects direct to the dimmers, and when present, takes precedence of control over the Chillinet control panels. Hope this answers your questions. Paul. edit: fixed link
