A few more... ... and no, it's not the photos, they were yellow. -
Is that a fair comparison? Spark 4D is up in the Frog2 price range, and Frog2 would compare very favourably with it.

Try the handy dealer finder on our main website...

Read all about it HERE or HERE.

When programming chases, it's often best to have the Playback X master fader at zero, otherwise the previous step that you programmed will be added to the current outputs, which I think is what you're seeing here. Just a hint though: for the effect you describe, you only actually need 2 steps in your chase

Now I'm confused :? That link above is for an XLS manual :? The LM300 manual is available HERE.

You could always try the old screensaver... Topic HERE. Download HERE. Or Google Images Or alternatively, how about these... One question though.... why? Is there a specific product you're after? -
Very odd. On a short length of cable like that you would normally get away without a terminator. What are the DMX LEDs on the front of the Betapack doing? What DMX address do you have the Betapack set to? Does it all still work if you plug the old cable back in? Or did you dismantle the old cable to build the new one...

I think the part number you've quoted is an RS part number, not a Zero88 part number. All Zero88 cables are tested prior to leaving the factory. Have you buzzed through all the pins to check for shorts/opens? How long is the cable? Do you have a DMX terminator on the end of the line etc. etc.?

I've added the Sirius 250/500 software downloads to the main website (CLICK HERE). Edit: For a new hard-disk, you will need to prepare the hard drive beforehand with our "Utility Disk". Give our friendly service bloke Keith a call and he'll post you one. He'll also be able to talk you through any other things such as BIOS settings that you need to be aware of.

The latest version of the fixture library (release 15, CLICK HERE) contains a Geni Shiva (4 and 6 channel). This might work with your fixture, would be worth a try! Let us know if this works OK. If not, please post a link to the DMX information for your fixture so someone can make up the fixture profile for you.

This problem may go away once you can have the brightness up without recording it: Frog Reference 5539 - Ability to tag brightness and tracking for the memory stack. Edit: just found an old topic discussing the same issue, CLICK HERE. The option to configure the replay-tagging behaviour has also been logged: Frog Reference 5583 - Option to disable, add-to, or replace tags when when replaying Memories, Submasters & SXs.

Always a good idea to fall back on if you're unsure about something!

Hi David, Does the fixture dim if you lower the Grand Master, or press the Blackout button on the desk? If so it could be your 'Virtual Presets'. Have a look at the 'FIX BR' green bar on the monitor screen - this indicates the Virtual Preset levels. Lower them by selecting the fixtures, pressing brightness, and then spinning the wheel down. Also useful to look at would be the outputs screen, to see what the desk is actually sending to the lights. If you don't trust the fixture profile, then check the DMX outputs screen (press +/- from the outputs screen) to be really sure! Hope this helps, Paul.

Hi ice, It's just occurred to me that you might have answered your own question here You may be able to change your way of working slightly when programming (this is assuming you're programming things without including the fixture brightness): 1. Raise a submaster containing only the fixture brightness parameters. This will clear all the tags. 2. Set the look you want. 3. Lower the submaster fader. 4. Hit Record. If you change your mind half way through and need to clear all the tags, you can always just quickly lower and raise the submaster fader. How does this work for you? I'm not saying we won't ever implement a button press to quickly clear all the tags, but the method above might help you in the meantime. Paul. edit: speeling

You can see the Pxx palette number on the wheel LCD without holding down the Colour/Beamshape/Position buttons. If you're wanting to cross-reference this with the palettes shown on the monitor screen, then simply lock the monitor screen on palettes. Holding Colour/Beamshape/Position has always (since the wheel edit modes were introduced) changed the wheel LCD to showing the wheel edit modes. The only difference in V10 is that there is now a 1s delay on this.

At the moment there are no plans for an Off Line Editor (OLE) for the Jester, the idea has been logged for future consideration though: JES-547 - Offline Editor The background on Phantom Frog is, that the Frog series software was developed using Phantom Frog before the hardware was available. Such was the demand for an OLE for that product (which you'll see if you look at the Phantom Frog forum), that we decided to release what we pretty much already had. Back to the Jester, the software for that was developed using the hardware itself, hence we don't already have something lurking in the background ready to give away I'm afraid. But as with all other things, we're a business, and if you can convince us that investing some effort in it will yield some commercial benefit, then we'll look at it.

Not sure I follow you here. What "pallet info" are you trying to look at while you're holding down the colour button? There's no point repeating arguments, however constructive criticism and challenging each others ideas is what this forum is all about. We want to make sure if we implement a new feature that it works the way the majority want. Keep discussing by all means if you have something new to add

A show programmed on 9.8 should run fine on version 10. Not sure about the other way round though, you might get some funny stuff happening with the partial programming. Would be wise to keep a copy of your 9.8 show somewhere as a backup, until you are completely happy that it runs properly on version 10. Let us know if updating the desk to 10.0 solves the problem.

Anyone know how to remove trigger level on a FatFrog???
Paul replied to AJ942's topic in Frog Range MK1
Super User -> Desk Setup -> Desk Defaults -> Submaster -> Sub Data. Set this to "Generic" (the default is "Gen&Fix"). Should do the trick if you don't want to use the MAC250's on the submasters. If you do want to use the MAC250's on the submasters, then you'll need to put the desk in to Partial Programming mode, which is a whole load of new stuff to learn -
Yes, the price is correct. You are of course welcome to buy plugs/sockets/cable elsewhere and make them up yourself
