  1. Hi Dick, not a silly one!!! I checked for any inf-File which provides an edit option..... NO WAY! cheers Sven
  2. Hi Dick, My answere for Q1: To get the desk working like you need it, you need to program your show in partial mode. I full mode every scene includes ALL DMX- Values of all patched channels AND Fixtures!!!!! Answere to Q2: I think you still have the playback X running. You are triggering the LTPs with the Chase at the sub. Stopping the Sub cuts the chase and the HTPs are overwritten from the Playback X. Probably another hint. You haven´t programmed a black via Shutter(LTP)??? I hope this helps and my english is not too bad to understand.... Cheers Sven
  3. Hi Folks, A real english man uses the desk upside down. *cheese......burger  A nice weekend to everyone!!!!! Sven
  4. Hi Guys, I do have a training show for the Fat and the same setup for a Mambo from the last Workshop I could give them as a "christmas gift".... It´s including 24 HTPs, 8 MAC 500 & 4 MAC 600, Program Mode is Partial!!! Just send me a mail and it will be responded a.s.a.p.! Best regards Sven
  5. Yepp, that´s the way I do it!!! I love the FAN Function!!!!
  6. richard wrote: "As Daniel said the 'spread' function would be good, also a figure of 8 and some more diagonal shapes would be good. With Subs it would be good as someone said elsewhere to be able to alter the chase speed live, also it would be very very very useful to be able to make a chase only affect one attribute of a specified fixture, this would open up worlds of opportunity for the frog." Richard please try the fan function!!!!!! You can use it on ALL parameters of each fixture!!!! i.e. set up a simple quad movement. you want it diagonal? okay! a "wavy" look? okay! 1: select the fixtures 2.choose the quad figure 3. give a Y size only 4. change parameter page and give a smooth speed 5. now all fixtures shoud move simultaniously 6. push and hold the POSITION Button scroll to FAN FIRST mode 7. release the button and choose the offset parameter. 8. by giving an offset the fixture should start to "delay" from each other. 9. Get back to the RELATIVE mode(Piont 6.) 10. give a little rotation. 11. now you should see a nice diagonal movement. I hope this is of help. Cheers sven
  7. I think the mirror function is temporary only, but the Pan/Tilt invert and Swap is a global set up parameter. cheers sven
  8. My brain is short before tilt....... Probably I got an engineer´s explanation.... What about an proportional inverting of given DMX values from the source scan/movinglight MA calls it "flip" I think. I.e. MH1 =PAN 25% DMX = source => MH2=PAN 75% DMX= Mirrored Attention missing the emoticon for grabbing head in german "sich am Kopf kratzt". A real peacefull christmas and year 2004 Sven
  9. I choose the default wheels, but probably a gaming Racing wheel including pedals could be great.....*LOL Following the actor Pan axxis via steering left and right, Tilt axxis via accelerate and break........ 8O A great weekend to all Sven P.S.: Perhaps, I should change this posting to "Suggest a feature".......
  10. Hi Yves, to set an existing chase to Bass trigger, recall the depending Memory to the Frog Mais Display as Next. Then push the edit button. Now you´re able to set the chase to bass with the lowest button in the chase section of the Frog. Push this button several times till the Bass LED is lit. Cheers Sven P.S.: You don´t need to run "red faced"!!!
  11. Hi I8, sounds funny. We had an Frog Training last week and noticed the same symptom at one desk(You should have seen Franck´s eyes....* ). At least it was a crapped keyboard. Cheers Sven
  12. Sorry Kev!!!! I´m getting a little bit angry now!!!! You´re always complaining about the Frogs. NZ just made an real honorable statement as he told "obviously the Frog is the wrong desk for you." A few of your suggestion were quite interesting, because I haven´t worked with the desks in this way. BUT you ever forgot the relationship between features, quality and price. You try to change the philosophy which is behind the product. In that case NZ is absolute right. Just sell your Frog and you´ll be a happy guy. If you´re thinking the Frog is a toy, why did you buy it? Excuse me, the Sirius 250 and 500 were the start of the decreasing reputation of Zero 88. In my point of view the new Zero88 team has turned around this tendency!!! SO Kev, stay on earth or start building your own Lighting Console with all the features you want for a budget price. I can´t take you more than a few weeks, because software implements are SO simple. regards Sven
  13. Just to be a REAL german "KLUGSCHEISSER" 256x256x256= K-Nine´s reply!
  14. Hi John, hmm.....your statement sounds a little bit weird to me. The Frog range is designed for different uses. All types are working with the same software. The only limitations are on the hardware. If the band you are working with has decided to purchase a FAT even knowing the other Frog desks..... Sorry! Otherwise try a deal with the store the desk was bought. Please, never forget relationships between features and money!!!! You won´t tune a trumpet to a guitar, will ya?!!! regards Sven
  15. Hi Daoops, no question can be stupid!!! A short translation of HTP&LTP HTP= Highest Takes Presense= DIM or Brightness Values which have the highest DMX Value are seen at the luminaires. All Dim-Channels and even the defined Dim-Channels of fixtures are HTP by default. LTP= Latest Takes Presense= All other Channels of a fixture, i.e. Colour,Beamshape etc.. Imagine a colour change....mem1 = Red DMX-value 20; change to mem2= blue DMX-value 10, You start with mem1 which includes also a beamshape and a position, now you want to change the colour only and start mem2 (mem1 still active) as HTP it wouldn´t happen anything, as LTP the colour changes, because mem2 is the latest "trigger" to the colour channel of the fixture. I hope this is described to understand the difference. :?: Cheers Sven
  16. ooops I forgot, I think you may patch 32 pieces in a row at max. Cable length I´m not sure but I think 300m. Keith please give me an correction if I´m wrong. Holdrio from Vienna
  17. Hi Lxkev, I read through your text and had one idea!!!! Probably a silly thing but have you checked the rotary pot relating to the playback X section? It has to be centered. turning left you decrease mem fades, turning right you increase mem fades. Cheers Sven Still not studying in Derby*
  18. Hi LXKEV, just to speak in "big words"....!* The LTP Fadetime is set for In- and Outfade + all Attributes set to Fade in the Memory. You don´t have an "delay- option" in the Frogs, so you have to progam it with 2 steps to reveive a real "clean" colour change. 1. First scene1 like you want it. 2. Fade scene one to blackin the requested time(NO Colour Change!!!). 3. Scene2 Colour Change WITHOUT LTP Fade!!!! Watch the time the scroller needs running to the deserved colour!!! 4. Dim up scene2! HERE YOU ARE!!! I hope this is of help. Please don´t hesitate to contact me for further information!*even if I haven´t studied in Derby!*LOL Cheers Sven

    Non-Dim

Hi LT, there is no "Non dim" function in the Frog series. If you have enough fixture buttons spare, write your own ONE Channel fixture or choose a scroller, but be aware to put the DIM as LTP. Assign it as fixture and program it as memory or "Live Data". Transfer to the Sub you want and set a 100% LTP Trigger to the Sub. Don´t forget to set the LTP (Color,Beamshape or Position) on SNAP!!! A little bit tricky but here you are.... cheers Sven
  20. LOL.................did you ever thought about a MAMBO lexkev? Probably the ultimate Frog in the Frog range!!! 8) 72 memories available without changing a page!!!! 48 Palettes.....etc. yepp a real good desk!*:-) Lexkev try it and you´ll love it!!!*LOL cheers Sven
  21. Hi Severino, easy to answere!!! NOT POSSIBLE. You only have one fadetime for all LTP-attributes. cheers Sven
  22. Hi Lxkev, I don´t have real answeres to your first three questions, but your last problem might be a programmed effect in one step of the chase. Or you´ve programmed brightness at 0value for all steps AND the playback X section is active (Fade over LTP Trigger-Level). I´m not really used to Martin fixtures, but have you assigned the right modes for the 9- & 518 scans? Just an idea. Cheers Sven P.S.: Did you have time to sit down, relax and imagine your sincerely used beamshapes?
  23. Hi LXkev, just to define and stop the anoying discussion about who is to work with a frog console. A hi-end user can work with a frog, off course he´ll miss a few features he´s used to from "bigger" & even lots more expensive desks, but he´ll not miss real necessary basics. Also a "low- end" user can work with a frog, most off the guys I talked with at Frog workshops who weren´t used to desks like HogII, Grand MA, Avo Diamond or whatever were pleased about the easiness of the frogs!!! One Statement to the partial programming. You´re right! Yes you are more flexible having the possibility of programming down to attribute/channel level, but please sit down, relax....... and now imagine how many beamshapes you have used in at one time during a show!!!? The more flexibility you have, the slower you´ll react on spontanious things on stage! So stay straight, creative and prepare your shapes as a "boxed" pallette and youÂll be sure to restart exactly these FANTASTIC COMPLEX LOOKS you created by excercising the desk! Best regards Sven P.S.: Kresten! Yeah dammned right!!!

    OFFSET

Hi Pipo, as Haytech told, you may use the "Fanfunction" to create i.e. a rainbow run with washlights. First choose a yellow for all selected washers. Then switch into the "FanFirst mode" and add i.e. cyan. This could be the first step of a chase. Repeat these steps but change the "FanFirst" to "FanLast". Well, I think the Fan function is what you meant by "offset". In the Position section the OFFSET relates to the selected effect and speed and is just a part of the whole effect engine. Like Keith has in his notes....*:-) I hope this is of help............. Cheers Sven
  25. Hi Pipo, A good idea so far!!! But I don´t think there are MORE shapes necessary. I´ld like to have the already prepared shapes available for the other attributes like Colour, or Brightness to be able to create nice scenes very fast. Now I´m doing it by using the FAN Function, which is a uge tool working with Washlights. You can program a "Rainbow- Effect" with just three steps in a chase. So let´s see what´s going on with the next software......!!! 8O Cheers Sven
